Come learn about Marion Grice, my #1 draft eligible RB (1 Viewer)

I think the interesting thing about Ellington is whether he ends up getting Gio'd eventually. Bernard was talked up as the workhorse... until he couldn't handle it. Ellington was way more effective last year with the corpse of Rashard Mendenhall eating up carries between the tackles.

Arians is never going to be a running-game centric guy, but if Grice performed well in Ellington's absence, he could carve a role.
That's what I am thinking.

Who knows how Grice will perform, but he's worth a stash for keeper/dynasty leagues just to see what happens.

Next year, it's highly doubtful that Ellington will have more than a complementary role as the pass catching back, and I doubt Stepfan Taylor takes on a larger role (if he's even around). Unless the Cards get a grinder in free agency or the draft, Grice could pave his way into a bigger role next year.

The main problem for Ellington right now is that other teams are putting 10 in the box to stop the run. If Arizona had a decent QB then he'd be performing better, or if he was even moderately healthy. He's been dealing with a foot injury since week one that's slowed him down. Ellington might be a surprise buy low for next year in a dynasty league.

I can buy the foot injury, but he was struggling running the ball even when Palmer was there.

At 100%, he could indeed be the guy we thought he'd be, but I don't think Arians will trust him enough to give him the opportunity.

New Player Note Tue, Dec 2

Coach Bruce Arians said Andre Ellington is dealing with a "severe" hip pointer and will be a game-time decision for Week 14 against the Chiefs.

Didn't Gio just miss 3 games with a fairly minor hip pointer?

Rotoworld:

Marion Grice - RB - Cardinals

Darren Urban of the Cardinals' website expects the team to use a "by committee" approach at running back in Week 14 at Kansas City.

Stepfan Taylor will get the start. Marion Grice is something of a passing-game specialist, and may mix in for some checkdowns from Drew Stanton. Per beat writer Mike Jurecki, whether street free agent signee Michael Bush plays will be a "game-time decision." This backfield is a mess in fantasy football.
