commish talk - weekly $ towards stat (1 Viewer)

Starting up something new in the league this year since we bumped up our buyins. Anyone else do something like this? Throw a bit of $ towards a specific stat/achievement each week?

"Fun Scores" - $$ per week to the winner

K with longest FG made
QB with longest pass
RB with longest rush
WR with longest reception
TE with longest reception
etc

I'm looking for things that aren't a complete load of research work for the commish.

We use MFL, which provides some nice stat reports you can use. To that extent, besides our normal payouts (division winner, regular season, most poiints, etc.), we have a progressive pot where we pay out the following activities:

• Highest position score in league history
• Top 5 position score in league history
• Highest team score in league history
• Top 5 team score in league history
• Top position at the end of the year (Top qb, top rb, top wr, etc.)

Hard luck payout to the team who lost the closest fantasy game of the week.

Team with the starter with the hottest wife or girlfriend. Ok, admittedly that's a lot of research, but it's enjoyable research.

We use MFL too. Good idea thanks. I like your progressive pot... where do you get the $ from? Do you charge per free agent pickup and use that $?

To me that seems like almost total luck. Now we know the game involves a lot of luck, but that is close to a weekly lottery. I wouldn't want it in my league.
