Commissioner/League Management Forum (1 Viewer)

I've noticed several topics that have been started to discuss (mainly complain) about actions that have been taken by league commissioners. As a commissioner, I often read the threads to see if I can find ways to improve the quality of my league. Then I got to looking around the various forums to find out more about league rules and only found bits and pieces.

Would anyone else find it helpful to find one forum that is dedicated to League Management? I would envision this as being a good forum to post league rules, get input on rule interpretation, present best practices for running a league, and discussing unique ways to keep your league engaged throughout the year.

Anyone else interested?

I really find those topics interesting too. At the same time, they seem to get lost in the Shark Pool so I think it's a great idea. My only worry is that it turns into AC where topics don't get replied to so people post things like "I know it should be there, but I need an answer" type posts. Then it's right back to where we are now plus the replies complaining that the topic is in the wrong spot.

Just my two cents.

I mentioned this same thought in answering the current thread about a commissioner who approved a trade late Saturday but didn't notify the parties involved thus causing their lineups to be incomplete - I would strongly encourage either a separate Forum or pinned thread.....although likely that should really be in the AC Forum...BUT it would be a good place for these threads and we seem to have had a lot of them this year......which also to your point means that I think a lot of leagues have a poor set of rules in place and this would help improve many of those situations.

niche forums create ghettos (see Baseball forum or IDP forum). i feel strongly that questions like these should remain in the Shark Pool.

I generally agree, but a pinned topic in the SP might be the best of both worlds. Keep it on the high volume forum, but collect into a single place so those of us interested can find it easily and those not interested don't have to wade through the clutter.
