Concern over Brooks done with? (1 Viewer)

After Brooks started the first two games going a combined 2 for 9, many people jumped off the bandwagon. Since then, he's been great and he finished the preseason with a QB rating over 90.

44 attempts

23 completions

357 yards

4 TD passes

2 INTs

90.8 rating

Are people back on the bandwagon? Before the preseason many people had him as a top 10 lock, then after the second preseason game everyone abandoned ship. I still think he's good for 25 TDs and a few more on the ground.

High risk (of totally sucking and losing the job), high reward player.

His upside is that of a top 6 QB. His downside is really low if he loses the job.

would be nice if Jerry Porter was happy and playing.
Porter was playing tonight, albeit with the second string. Ronald Curry played with the first string and looked good. Reports out of Oakland have Curry passing Porter on the depth charts even though he's just coming back.Oh, and I don't trust Brooks. He'll be up and down all season.

I dropped Leftwich for Brooks. Brooks has one of the easiest schedules in the league.
I thought it was discussed here the risk on Brooks losing the job early with a very tough schedule the first half of the season? Anyway, I like the potential of Brooks. He was always a bit under rated from a FF football standpoint in NO. Seemed to always be a top 10 QB but drafted lower then where he would finish. I think it may be the same story in OAK. Not consistent but capabke of big numbers and probably a top 10 FF quarterback as long as he can hold the job.

With Walter getting injured as a senior at ASU, his rookie year as a Raider, and now with the tired arm, I wouldn't think Brooks has to do much to hold his job.
