Read Katie Hill above.  The child decided to become more public.  He's what, 16? Old enough to make that decision.

I don't really know either.  It just seems a little creepy for people to insinuate he's a child molester with no more evidence than their political distaste for him.  Again, I agree it's not a typical situation.  There are lots of atypical situations though and I don't think we assume the worst about any of those.

Doesn't appear that Gaetz actually adopted the kid.

I'm sure the "child" decided to become more public at the exact same moment that Gaetz blurted out his fatherhood status after being literally triggered during a debate!

Yea, I think a few people here are way over the line. I think Gaetz is a giant turd, but him fostering a kid in need is an excellent thing and maybe his outward persona is just shtick.
