Conor Oberst rape accuser admits it was a lie (1 Viewer)

Brian Banks accuser was just order to pay back $2.6M she netted from her false rape claims... Of course she ran through it all and is on food stamps so good luck.

He didn't go to jail so I am fine with her not going to jail. However i think she should lose the suit and he should get whatever little bit of nothing she owns for a long time.

How does that logic work? When someone breaks into your house, are you fine with them not going to jail because you (the victim) didn't go to jail?

He suffered civil injury. He should get a civil judgement. Breaking into my house is a criminal act. Lying about me raping you on the internet is a civil act. If she had filed a report then yeah throw her ### in jail. That is a criminal offense. But as I understand it she didn't do that or break any other criminal law.

Agreed.

"I made up those lies about him to get attention while I was going through a difficult period in my life and trying to cope with my son's illness."
So, you see, I'm the one who you should be feeling sorry for. I'm the one who suffered.

They should be checking the kid to make sure mommy isn't helping to keep him ill. She sounds like a candidate for Munchausen.

I'm OK with jail as a viable punishment for particularly heinous civil offenses.

I think jerks who can't work a 4 way stop should got to jail. We are both crap out of luck though.

By definition then it becomes a criminal offense.

We see this often. Thinks like criminal contempt of court, failure to pay child support, reckless driving, criminal speed, etc.
