Went with Maclin, but Demaryius Thomas definitely has the higher ceiling so it was a tough call.

I still like Austin, and love grabbing him around this point (or later in most cases), as I think he's a great value.

Wow no love for Jordy.
He's in the conversation, but last year he had a crazy YPC and TD%. Doubtful he'll come close to repeating either this season.
I think Jordy is still a head scratcher to an extent. I mean, he can play. But that offense is going to be tweaked this year. When all the chips were on the line, they couldn't score enough to beat NYG. I think they focus a bit more on rushing the ball this season. I'd love to see a talent like David Wilson brought in just to keep defenses honest.

Yea, that's not going to happen. You don't need to actually run the ball... you just need the threat of being able to run. Look at the Giants last year. 32nd in rushing. Were they the worst rushing team? Hell no. Teams respected their ability to run so they had to stack the box too often and that let Manning air it out to the tune of 5,000 yard last year. When the Giants actually ran the ball they were certainly effective. Both Bradshaw and Jacobs had 4 YPC last year.

Actually, the Giants were dead last in rushing average as well as total yardage. Apparently, you don't even need the threat of running. ;)

This is how I see it. I am not convinced that last year was not his career year. I think eventually he will lose some looks to cobb and he may lose some TD looks to Finley (assuming he has a bounce back year).

I have to say, Andre Johnson stands out as the anamoly here. His best days are behind him. I just don't ever see him putting up the numbers he achieved earlier in his career. He is coming off an injury plagued season but more importantly this team is the best rushing team in the NFL now. He simply doesn't need to catch 100 balls any more. They are winning more games with Foster and Tate than they ever did with Johnson as the lead dog. I am desperately trying to land a Top WR right now and he isn't one I consider in that tier.

For instance, I own Maclin and I wouldn't trade him straight up for Andre right now. And I'm definitely "in the championship window"

Nelson over Bowe, Maclin, and Austin is laughable.
Yeah, there's no way Nelson would ever outscore any of those guys!
I can maybe see where you're coming from with Bowe, but Austin had a really, really, terrible year last year, and Maclin has Vick throwing to him as well as that mystery illness. I have no problem with him over those 2, and Bowe has Cassel throwing to him and the minor steroid concern. Arguable, definitely not laughable.

I agree with this. I was shocked when AJ went in the early second in our startup. 6th overall for dynasty value in this thread very much surprised me. 6th in re-drafts seems about right. There are 12 guys I would have taken before him.

All about how you define dynasty. Some people only look two yrs out. You cant complain about his ranking for two yrs out.

I was kidding, on account of the "laughable" comment on a guy who outscored all the guys mentioned last season and is in the best passing offense in the league.

coming off severe injury at his age on a running team? Not so sure about that.

I'd still rather have AJohnson at #6 than Dez Bryant at #9. Or for that matter, Dez Bryant at #16.

Convo is devolving into downvoting people already on the board. Let's stick with debating who is left.

Austin for me... followed close by Nelson, Bowe, Maclin in no particular order. Each has strengths.

For pure fantasy numbers it's hard to ignore Nelson. Jennings is a free agent next year and he's clearly shown the ability to step into the number 1 role... white boy can play. Even in a spread out offense he still blew up. Not sustainable, but even a healthy fraction of those stats is worth of 16th best WR many years.
