Cooleys production (1 Viewer)

Does Cooleys number go up or down over the remainder of the year ?

taking into consideration

1) the lack of wrs --- currently everyone is hurt and they are starting guys who were on the practice squad

2) tough schedule coming up playing dallas /GB/NYG without wr does defense stack the box to stop the run does this mean cooley stays in to block or is he the quick dump off blitz read

3) Will defenses put their #1 coverage guy on him

4) will campbell target him more

5) will he be kept in as an extra blocker

6) how long will the wash wr by out

The right side of the o-line is blocking better, which should help Cooley.

They also experimented with a no huddle offense run by Campbell last week, Peyton style, and Campbell looked very good running it. It opened up the offense.

I'd expect him to either remain steady or slightly improve. The loss of Sean Taylor is huge for that pass defense, which means that I think they're going to be passing more from behind in the future.

The more O line man that return the more catches Cooley will make. The more Linemen that get hurt the more you subtract.

The numbers don't support you:
+----------+-------------+----+| WK OPP | REC YD | TD |+----------+-------------+----+| 1 mia | 1 10 | 0 || 2 phi | 2 25 | 1 || 3 nyg | 3 19 | 1 || 5 det | 4 26 | 1 || 6 gnb | 9 105 | 1 || 7 ari | 1 3 | 0 || 8 nwe | 3 31 | 1 || 9 nyj | 4 58 | 0 || 10 phi | 5 33 | 0 |+----------+-------------+----+| TOTAL | 32 310 | 5 |+----------+-------------+----+The 'Skins lost starting RT Jansen in week 1, and starting RG Thomas in week 2- his numbers over the course of the season have increased since those two games. OTOH, the worst game Cooley had was week 7 vs. Arizona, which was the week that C Rabach missed due to injury - he's back now. I agree that losing more linemen is not good for Cooley's numbers, but right now I think he's fine.

If the Skins can`t get in the redzone on a regular basis Colley is usuaally the #1 target down low.

The Skins just need to move the ball.
