Cost to acquire Jordy Nelson? (1 Viewer)

Offered Stills, Wallace and a 2017 4th for Jordy Nelson. It got declined.

So, given Jordy's age and injury history, what is a fair price to acquire him?

He is still putting up solid WR2 numbers and has a stud QB that will always get him the ball.  His price is completely dependent upon your team situation.  He is a great piece for a contender.  If he is an acquisition that puts me in prime win now mode I would be willing to pay a late 1st or early 2nd rounder price tag.  If I am in a rebuild I would be shopping him to one of those teams in contention that needs a consistent third WR.

My guess though is that the teams that have Jordy will want more than the teams that want him would be willing to pay.  If I was trying to trade him I would wait for a big game or two in season and then look for a 2018 1st rounder and a take a chance upside WR.

I agree with above.  It would depend on the roster of the person that owns him.  IF he is contending there is no reason for him to trade away Jordy for that package.  Your package seems a little light either way however.

I bought him last season for a late 1st and 3rd, can't imagine he went up in price even though he did finish as the #1 fantasy WR in PPR in my leagues.  Anyways I'm a contender in the league I got him, and I'm trying to get him in another league, just don't have a 1st to give up but I would if it was late.

How convenient this thread was at the top of the page

PPR dynasty league

I have Jordy and wouldn't mind trading for a rookie draft pick.

The team I want to trade with has 1.03 and 1.05. The fifth pick was acquired via trade.

If I sent you Jordy for 1.05 and he would improve your WR corps, would you take it?

(Team I'm sending offer to has: Pryor/ Evans/ K. Allen/ A. Hurns/ Crabtree)

Edited to add: Just got Crabtree via trade for Jeremy Hill. Added Crabtree to WR group.

I own Jordy in a couple of dynasty leagues and where I own him I wouldn't trade him unless I got an offer in the late round 1 range.  He puts up too good of numbers to not get a quality prospect back.  If I had a WR need and I had a good team I would have no problem trading something like that for him.  He is a tough guy to find a trading partner though because I would say late round 1 is probably the territory you need to hit in value to get something done and so you need a buyer and a seller to meet in that area.

I have the 1.11 of 12

Would you take 2.02 and 2.03 (#'s 14 and 15 overall, respectively)?

If I was ready to move on from Jordy (had enough WR talent or was committed to getting younger) I probably would take picks 14 and 15 for him.

Sent the proposal yesterday evening. The other owner just took the offer.

Thanks for your reply

I would say about the 1.08. Have seen him go in trades as high as 1.06 and as low as 1.10. His main appeal is to owners hoping to win this year and willing to pay a premium for a player like Jordy.

He is worth a mid to late 2017 1st or 2018 1st and 3rd IMO, what you offered might be worth a late 2nd.
