Didnt see this out there. From fanball:

Jets: Cotchery misses practice

THE NEWS

Jerricho Cotchery was held out of practice on Wednesday because of a finger injury, reports Newsday.

Our View

This is the first we've heard of the malady, and the Jets did not shed any light on Jerricho's status. We'll continue to monitor the situation as the weekend approaches.

If Cothery and Coles both sit, I may have to pick up the Dolphins D and play them over Seattle. Who do they have on offense? T. Jones and Brad Smith?

How is Coles' ankle for this week?
11/29/07 10:20 AMTHE NEWSLaveranues Coles continues to battle the ankle injury that kept him out of the team's Thanksgiving Day game against the Cowboys. According to Newsday, Coles was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. Our ViewColes' injury is reportedly a high ankle sprain, which can take more than just one week to heal. If he can't play on Sunday against the Dolphins, Brad Smith and Justin McCareins would see more action than usual.

Has anyone heard anything new on Cotch? I'm been googling around and can't find anything new. Might be better off to bench him and put Booker or Furrey in the lineup.

He is apparently sporting a giant cast over his injured hand. My guess is that Cotchery, sadly, no longer has any FF value this season.

cast??.. any links?
A friend of mine ran into him at a party last night (apparently he's much smaller than he looks in pads), and said that he was sporting a "giant cast" on his injured hand. That doesn't sound like a one week injury to me -- sounds like Cotch is pretty messed up.

This helps explain why our first-place team snapped up Chris Baker last night. NY Daily News says he could be lost for the rest of the season.

Brad Smith might be a sneaky play for desperate owners this week. The Jets also have Cleveland next week.

who starts with coles?smith or mccareins-does it matter?last week baker got 7 targets more then both of them combined

Man, I couldn't have been more wrong about this guy. I had massive QB depth early in the year, but sucked at WR, so I traded Big Ben straight up for Cotchery (thankfully made much better trades the rest of the time). Took 3 weeks before I pawned him off in a package to get Welker. Sure, he had QB probs all year, but I wasn't impressed with his separation ability anyway.

Any update on Cotchery? Is he done for the year?
Jerricho Cotchery, WR (New York Jets) 12/06/2007 10:33 MST The Newark Star Ledger is reporting there is a possibility Cotchery will be able to play in Sunday's game against Cleveland. The report indicates Cotchery is awaiting a specially designed cast for his broken right index finger and could return to practice today. Insight: Watch this closely, as the fantasy value of Laveranues Coles and even Brad Smith could hinge on Cotchery's status. (Steven Lassan/ProFantasySports.com)

119 receiving yards in week 14. It looks like the claims of Cotchery's demise were premature.
FBG's doesnt even have him listed in their cheatsheets for this week. How the hell did this happen. I am losing two playoff games due to not starting him. This sucks.

He was recently reported as likely out for the season. This was a surprise to everyone, but of course it is FBG's fault that you didn't have a decent backup.

Anyone like Cotchery's outlook for week 15?

He could have a huge game with the Jets likely playing from way way way behind.

He was putting up nice numbers before his two game slump and subsequent injury.

I will likely start him in my head to head first round playoff game.Colston, Homes and then it is Cothery, Harrison, Furrey, or Toomer. Last team in the playoffs with a rash of injuries so it will take a miracle to make a run.

I'd like to think that Cotch is a decent start given that the Jets will be down all day. But has that really worked out for any other Wr's vs the Pats? I mean they are ranked as #6 def vs the pass according to Fanball.... so its not like they are giving up points/yards often to opposing WRs and they have blown quite a many teams out.

I'm definitely unsure what to do about Cotch this week, I'd love to start him thinking that he can go for 75 yards with no problem because they will be throwing all day.... but then again I'm just scared to get nothing out of him in such a huge week fantasy wise.
