Could it Be time for a bilal movement (1 Viewer)

There are only a few teams that regularly give touches to three different halfbacks in a given week. The Jets have been one such team; but I'd expect that to change with LT out. I suspect Greene and McKnight will get the only touches at halfback, with Conner still getting a carry once every few weeks at fullback.

I don't think the Jets see McKnight as a true RB, they even tried him out as a DB. They need to see what they have in Powell and give him a shot at some carries. I say it is time for a Powell movement, would hate to wait too long.

They didn't "try him out" as a DB - they inserted him for one (or two) plays at DB for the sole purpose of blitzing the QB.They like McKnight quite a bit at RB. Rex constantly talks about getting him more involved and this will be the opportunity to do so. He will get LT's work if LT is out. I can all but guarantee that.

I think the biggest benefit is to Greene - I expect he will now get goal line carries - Mcknight or somebody may get the 3rd down pass plays.

With LT out maybe he gets his opp this thursday
That is one clever but crude title. Do you think he leap-frogs McKnight, who had a fumble but also had 150+ KO return yards; that could anchor McKnight on special teams opening a Powell pathway.
LT is not ruled out yet. If he is it may allow for Powell to be active but McKnight is the one who will benefit.
LT has been ruled out now and Powell is expected to be active. Maybe he gets a few carries, but there's a good chance that he doesn't.

McKnight is not an every down back. He is a great special teamer and 3rd down back. If Greene goes down, Powell leap frogs McKnight but until that happens, McKnight is the the change of pace and dynamic guy and that role is not changing as long as he is healthy.

and we know this how? I'm always puzzled when people just say this and I'd be curious as to how you can flat out say he's not an every down back?ETA - admittedly, I have not seem him play much.

this board has been pimping powell for months. i didnt think he would get an opportunity this year buried as 4th on the depth chart. if he is gonna have any chance to show what hes got hes gotta do it now.

Rotoworld says rib injury. FBG says head injury. Both say Greene to locker room.
