I do need to buy enough solar panels and a mmpt controller and an inverter and batterys which i'll make.  And put these in a faraday cage.  So i'll have it just in case.  Wiring is easy did my whole house.  Although one thing I'm lacking is a large supply of beer.  Running out of that might be my down fall!

Directs gutter water to barrel for watering, emergency use, whatever.

Diverter is along edge because of engineer figured out water hugs walls of pipe when falling in a pipe. Sediment/stuff falls thru center. 

When barrel is full it just backs up to the gutter and runs out like normal.

The biggest blackout in US history left 50 million without power for 2 days, killed 11 and cost $6 billion. 

According to all account, that was caused by a wire touching a tree branch. I don't know if I believe that a tree branch took down power for 50 million. And if it did, that's pretty pathetic that something so minor, something that happens every day caused so much damage and death. So the question becomes, do we fear more the Russians/Chinese/some terrorist group/anonymous hackers or the stray tree branch?
