I bought my dad a vizio sound bar for Fathers Day and we have hooked it up, however there is a problem. The sound bar works great on HDMI 1 which is where the direct tv master box is hooked up. The problem we have is when we select the other HDMI inputs to where the Roku and DVD player are it keeps going back to HDMI 1 or a message that say no signal comes on the screen. Is there anyone who knows what to do?

Is the audio output set just to hdmi1?

It might be a setting on the sound bar or you need to reevaluate the output you chose. Worst case, buy a cable splitter splitter

I had a ton of trouble using a soundbar with my TV (Samsung LED) and having multiple inputs. I think the newer TVs have better options, but mine is like 3+ years old, and doesn't play well with sound bars. I'm thinking of just going old-school surround instead.
