I've never gone past 2 on PBJ's.  But I've put down unholy amounts of pizza.
This.

Although if the question is "could" instead of "have" this could be closer if you don't have much PB on the sandwich.

I really think you're overestimating how much pb&j's fill you up.   I was really hungry so I just kept going, but I made it through 5 and it didn't make a difference.
You need to put more peanut butter on the sandwich.

I pictured you scarfing Uncrustables in the car, like a slice of pizza each.  OR...

Making PB&J's in the car.  Didn't even consider you'd take it all home and have half a dozen pb&j sandwiches at home.

If that is what we are doing, I could peel apart the top layer of King's Hawaiian Sweet Rolls from the bottom layer, spread with chunky and Smukcer's Strawberry Simply Fruit and MOW DOWN.  Might do that tomorrow.  I mean, what else am I gonna do?  EXERCISE?!  :lmao:
I may or may not have eaten three or four uncrustables on my drive to work a few times :bag:

I could but that would throw off the balance.   I don't want one thing overpowering the other.  PB is pretty powerful as it lingers.   If I add more, I'm gonna need to add a lot more jelly.   Now that I think about, I was a little lax with both.   Its just nice having a healthy amount of bread b/c then the milk mixes nicely with.   The balance is oh so delicate.

What kind of animal do you think I am?    As far as the kings, you talking keeping all the rolls together and literally just take off the top in one sheet and slather with pb&j?   That sounds decadent.  Never tried it with the sweet rolls.  I love a good sweet roll.  I wonder if it would be too sweet.

Basically you're eating bread with a thin flavoring of PB &J. Slather the bread with PB, jelly to taste.  PB should be at least half the thickness of the bread.

I'll definitely be giving this a shot.  I'm all out of milk so it can't be tonight.

How many Pb&J's COULD I physically eat? I have no freaking idea, because I've never had any desire to eat more than one of them.  To be fair, if I'm making a PB&J, I'm loading it up. Its not the tiny little sandwich my mom made when I was 7.  The heft of an individual PB&J can vary significantly.

I know I can down an entire pizza in one sitting if I want to. I wouldn't want to at this point, but I could.  No way in hell I could stomach 8 PB&J's. I'd be grossed out after # 2.

Umm.....yeah.  Get a tray of 12 rolls.  Peel the rolls out of the tray in one piece.  Peel the tops off the bottoms in one piece.  Skippy's chunky on bottom halves.  Strawberry Simply Fruit on top of that.  Replace tops on sheet of rolls.  Tear, eat, indulge, drink, self-dread.  Repeat.

Pizza. Unless it’s an uncrustable. I can put those down (but it’s still probably pizza).

Wait, there's people out there that think peanut butter is disgusting? These are the same people who brush their tooth with warm water and bomb orphanages.

I love a good PB&J. Could eat them for days in a row. But I could not fathom the idea of shoveling down 3, 4, 5 of them at a time. I would guess the most I have ever eaten is 2 in a sitting. But pizza? Unless they are some monster oversized pieces or the super stuffed "Chicago style" monstrosities, I can't imagine eating less than 3, 4, 5 slices.

I'm drunk and. It's massively obvious pizza wins 100 out of 100 times.
OMG that's the most hyperbole I've ever seen

well, I am a later life diabetic type II so the bread, milk and jelly is no great for me.

but I do have cravings sometimes - and have to admit, just one isn't enough ...but 2 pb&js make me way too full. Also, I jazz mine up - it sounds weird but it's pb, jelly, american cheese slice, bacon bits and red pepper flakes.  It must also include plain chips on the side.

The milk is a super-stomach bloater, but I gotta have it.   :bag:
Dude, are you pregnant?

I usually make double-decker PB&J's...3 slices of bread with PB and J between each layer.  Should I count that as 1.75 PB&J's to figure out my ratio?

Uncrustables shouldn't count, unless you also forego eating the pizza's crust as part of the comparison.

Personally, I've only ever had more than 2 PB&Js in one sitting maybe twice in my life, with 5 as the max, whereas I've eaten more than 5 slices in one sitting more times than I can count.

I guarantee you that you can knock down 5+.  You may not want to, but it doesn't take much.   Report back.
Lunch. Just one, pan-fried in butter to get everything nice and gooey. Quality over quantity, although I'm not going to a lie a second one is tempting.

My wife asked what prompted me to make a PB&J. I told her it was to prove a point to someone on the internet. Just documenting in case you find me posting in this thread later.

I cannot believe it took so long for a comment to the hybrid sandwich.  I can understand maybe real bacon being added (because bacon makes everything better) but not bacon bits and cheese just seems wrong in every way.  I don't mind the spice aspect as I have used some jalapeno strawberry jam before and the spice was nice.....

It's been touched on already in this thread, but not stressed enough, that there's never a pile of PB&Js sitting on a table like there are 8 or 10 slices of pizza. If we're talking average, lunch-box PB&J's, being presented on a platter for grazing, it might change your eating habits.

Also, from a purely "capable" perspective, I think if you asked competitive eaters this question, most would say the PB&Js. Even the metrics used for the world records for eating each point to PB&J, since they are measured in how many sandwiches can be eaten in 1 minute (6 or 7 depending on source), versus 10 minutes for pizza slices (40.5). Even if you ate them at a rate 75% as fast as the record, you'd still eat 45 sandwiches in 10 minutes.

Granted, un-timed, just for total body count before tapping out, maybe that changes things, but I doubt it.

Jeesh…..trying to bring facts into this totally serious and theoretical discussion.  There is no place for that around here.....

The type of pizza crust matters a lot here IMO -- the thicker crusts really start to weigh you down after a while.

Thin crust - pizza by a mile

Hand tossed - maybe pizza? This would be pretty close

Pan crust - PB&J for sure

I think it may depend upon the size of the PBJ sammich, as well as the pizza slice in question, but it would be hard to eat more than 3 sammiches.

Anyone ever made a grilled PBJ? Think of it like a grilled cheese, but a grilled PBJ.  I recently heard about this. I am thinking of making myself a couple for lunch.

I make these all the time. A grilled PBJ and an ice cold glass of milk is one of the most satisfying late night snacks of all time.

My boss who is 56 years old brings in Fluffernutter sandwiches for lunch maybe once a week and we all sit in amazement that anyone can put that crap into their bodies. There may be no worse food source one could injest than Fluff. May as well eat plastic or glue.
