Cowboys Fans (1 Viewer)

Get out of here with that "anyone can win the NFC" stuff. TB, NY and Washington have exactly zero chance of getting to the SB.
Washington no chance? Hilarious..Have you watched any football lately? :rolleyes:
Hilarious is the part where TODD COLLINS is their QB.
You mean Todd Collins who has a passer rating of 106.4 so far in 2007 with 3 TDs and 0 INTs in the last 3 games? As a point of comparison, Romo in the last 3 games has had 1 TD and 5 picks. You mean Todd Collins who threw for 244 yards and a TD in the rain against the Cowboys?What exactly is hillarious? :confused:
The part where you said they have a chance to win 3 road playoff games.
If they can beat Seattle, go into dallas with the cowboys actually playing for something then I'll have no problems giving the Skins props.

As a Bear fan :excited: I think WAS has a decent chance to come out of the NFC for the following reasons:

1) Solid defense built for playoff-style games. I admit I don't get to see them every week but from the games I have watched they are physical and stingy;

2) Very good running game with a guy (CP) who can carry a team in a one-game situation...not saying this is enough but it is a nice factor to have in your favor;

3) Veteran QB who should not panic or get nervous in tight situations;

4) Hall of Fame coach. I realize Gibbs is not what he was and the game may have passed him by a bit but I don't like to count him out. Maybe you can teach an old dog new tricks;

5) Playing for something. I think fans and outsiders tend to initially overplay and then prematurely dismiss this factor. The ST thing probably grows more important to them every single day (at least for a few more months) before it begins to wane.

No matter how Dallas fans spin it, the Boys look like c*** right now. Given that Wade Phillips is the HC I sense a first game loss on the horizon. I do like GB but WAS could frustrate those receivers. The Seahawks are too one-dimensional.

Now watch WAS lose by 21 in their first playoff effort.

WASH managed to win without their starting QB, All-Pro safety and several lineman. :(
They also had a tab more motivation to win that game dont ya think? lolIt didnt matter what Dallas starters were in the game, it was apparent their heart wasnt in it.
Tell yourself what you gotta dude. If you think any pro team wants to go out and be embarassed and just doesn't care, well, I got a bridge I'd like to sell you. 1 yard rushing? Romo playing poorly three straight weeks? If you think that's all irrelevant, well, I hope the coach and players agree with you and just sit back thinking "we can turn it on when we want too, no need to worry."

I hope the Skins do beat Seattle and come in as over confident as their fans.Cowboys won't kill them, but I would expect a 27-17 type of score.
Re-read all the posts in this thread. I think you got the wrong team when it comes to over confident fans.

I'm sure no one gave the Steelers a chance a couple years ago either..It wouldn't be the first time a 6 seed advanced to the Super Bowl. They're the hottest team in the league right now so looking over them would be foolish. I so hope we get a re-match of the Skins/Boys. I'll take Coach Gibbs over Wade Phillips anyday.

:goodposting: Teams like nothing better than some momentum and rhythm going into the playoffs like the Skins have right now. The Packers didn't have it in 02 when they got spanked by the Jets in week 17 and went on to give Lambeau Field it's first ever home playoff loss and were completely embarassed. Dallas has no momentum going into it and it's been documented by many of the sports shows I've seen since yesterdays game. Romo is young and has been playing like a turd for 3 weeks now and you can't tell me he's not thinking about last years playoff choke and not going to press a bit. Thumb could be an issue too. Will be interesting for sure.

I knew this offense would take a hit with TO being hurt, but this is ridiculous. All the credit to Washington's defense, but the Cowboys are just plain out of synch. Romo has looked horrible. They haven't been able to run the ball. I'm officially worried upon entering the playoffs. At least with the bye it gives TO an extra week to heal, but if he can't get healthy I think any of the other five teams in the NFC playoffs (assuming Washington gets in) could knock the Boys off right now. Thoughts?
Slowdown Tontoe, Gurode, TNew, TO, and there were another starter or two that didn't even suit up. Slow your horses the Cowboys had nothing to play for. They wanted to get a few records and get off the field. That's it.

They lose 1 game to Philly, play so so in Carolina, and then lose a meaningless game with 3 pro bowlers out and we are in trouble? Chicken littles. Are they unbeatable...HELL NO. This is the way over reaction the other way.Just my 0.02.
Yet another :ph34r:

I honestly don't think that the team has been into it for the past few weeks. They basically knew that they didn't have anything to play for, and lost their drive. I am sure that after the bye week, with our starters back healthy, we will get that ball rolling again. I am not worried, and we need the week off.
:shrug: Up until last week they had everything to play for. Not sure what you mean..

:mellow: This is all that needs to be said. And these guys will be ready will be ready when the game comes to town.

Washington winning in Seattle and in Dallas is a best-case scenario as far as I'm concerned, so don't think I'm rooting against them. But it's not gonna happen. I'll give them plenty of credit for "pulling together as a team in the wake of tragedy" etc. but people are getting too caught up in the storyline.

Exactly. You guys are right on. You can turn it on and off like a faucet. Hell, the boys are so far ahead of everyone else, I wouldn't even bother to practice the next two weeks. Totally unecessary.

And up until last week, they seemed fine to me. This is the NFL and teams are going to have games where they don't look fantastic. They only lost three games all year to that point, and I think that after they beat Green Bay, they sort of felt like they had it locked up. You can tell that the team lost some intensity. If you watch the games, it seemed to me that the offensive line just stopped putting in all of the effort that they were up until that point. Probably even got a little bit cocky, so I am glad that they got their reality check BEFORE the playoffs. Also... I really didn't expect much with T.O., Newman, and Ratcliff out of the game for the last game. I don't know too many people who expected the Cowboys to win that game, at that point. Washington was playing for their entire season, and Dallas didn't have anything to play for. Hell, the boys have only had a couple games all year long, where everyone was healthy on both sides of the ball. By the time the first week of playoffs come... The Cowboys will not only be 100% healthy on Defense, but they will also have the addition of Terry Glenn at Wide out.I am NOT worried. Then again, you are a Packers fan, so you are "hoping" that the Cowboys are falling apart.

What, Santa didn't bring you the gift you wanted, dude, grow up.....really.

Definitely looks like parity has come to the NFC. I thought Dallas and GB would run away with it a few weeks ago. But then GB gets owned by CHI and DAL has looked poor three straight weeks. MINN was supposedly hot and played themselves right out of the playoffs. It's going to be a matter of who brings their A game on any given day. And then goes on to lose to the AFC in the SB. I don't think the NFC has a chance in hell right now the way these teams are playing.
:confused: :confused: They held their own IN Dallas missing 4-5 starters. Hammered the Rams in St. Louis. Looked like crap vs the Bears, and hammered Detroit today.

I'm not saying they are the favorite in the NFC, but to say they were owned by Dallas, and played poorly 3 straight weeks is wrong. Sounds like someone who hasn't watched many games.
He is missing a comma. 1. GB gets owned by Chi.

2. Dal has looked poor three straight weeks.

Two thoughts there.
:thumbup:
I see that now.Thanks, my bad. My apologies Loke.

Dude, I'm agreeing with you. Dallas is a LOCK. No need to worry about the last few games of the season. The 'boys are the shiznit. JJ should just give them the to weeks off to rest and heal and watch tape and them they can come out and just pown whoever they play! There's absolutely nothing to worry about. You got the league right where you want it.

:goodposting: 13-3 is a very, very good year. They are 3-2 over the last five weeks. So is Green Bay, so is Seattle, so is New York. Tampa Bay is 2-3. No one is perfect in the NFC, everyone has warts.Get TO and Gurode back. The offense will look a lot like itself again. Get Newman and Ratliff back. The D steps up. I trust in Jason Garrett and Wade Phillips. I believe in the Jedi Master Romo.

It is still good to be a Cowboy fan right now.
Why did you leave out the fact that Wash has gone 4-0.
Everyone knows the streak Washington is on right now. I was simply mentioning what the division champs had done over the last month plus and threw the Giants in there as well. Everone seemed to be harping on Dallas loosing a couple of games and felt it was a good parallel to show what the other playoff teams had done.No disrespect to the Redskins.
Fair enough, I get it.
