Craps....easiest way to learn? (1 Viewer)

Last time I was at Presque Isle in Erie, PA the min bet was 5 with up to 100x odds. Was lovely.

People sure love when I bet 5 on Dont Pass and then 100 on the odds.
Do the dealers love it when you make bets that don't work on the 5,6,8 and 9?

I'm not an expert like you guys are, but Lod01, your statistics were for after the point was made, correct?

Are you then implying the come out roll has no edge at all to the house or the player....or that your % of extra winnings (on a 2x odds table) favors skipping the players edge on a come out roll?
After the point is established. I got tired of hammerheads rolling a ton of 2's and 3's. Then some guy rolls a few 7's and everyone is jacking each other off. Last thing I ever want to see is someone rolling a ####load of 7's. Page 1, I explained that I know the correct way to play based on % but it also needs a hot roll to win. If someone has a really hot roll of points, I will win more. If you just play the 'correct' way, you will lose 1.4%. Craps is a losing game just like every casino game. That's why they exist.
Played right it's as close to a coin flip as you can get in the casino. I think certain styles of pai gow are roughly the same odds.
Correct, yet it is a losing bet. Pass line with 2 come line bets is the closest thing to even but you will lose everything over time. This is why I like the craps machine. You can bet when you want, take bets up and down, etc without having to tell a dealer to do it for you. I started winning when I didn't make the same bet over and over again. Sure I could do it at the real table but it will slow the table down and eventually piss off the dealer.
I like the bubble machine at times too. Great place to relax with a few buddies and get liquored up. The one at Casino Royale is $2 min with 5x odds. And yes, you can easily take down bets or do whatever you want without bothering the pit. But it still doesn't beat a hot craps table with everyone high fiving strangers.

In april we were playing the hopping bets on the bubble machine. I swear we hit 15%+ of these, it was amzing. Not sure I'd ever try to play those on a real table.
