After the moves that Ted Thompson has made during his tenure I'm not criticizing anything he does until GB finishes a year with a losing record . FFS his first pick was Rodgers, at a time when they still had Favre for a few more years. Teddy was disciplined enough to take a top notch QB prospect that fell to 24th instead of picking need. I THINK THAT WORKED OUT OKAY. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

Separate question... how difficult is it to pick up kicking for a new team? I would imagine it is nothing like any other position where you have learn scheme and timing. You'd basically just need to practice a bunch of snaps with the long snapper and holder. I have to believe there are 50 college-experienced kickers out there qualified enough to start next game and have no problem with either kicking touch-backs or having a good chance at 40 yards or less in the NFL. Maybe touchbacks are a little tougher to do & angle correctly. But even if there are a lot of guys out there that can come in and do it, I'll stick with Teddy. He's done all right.
How times have changed. You would be hard pressed to find a Packer Fan that doesn't share the same sentiment now. He has proven it over and over again. He's laid some stinkers but big picture, TT is one of the best in the busines.
When he hits...he hits it big (Matthews and Rodgers).

and Cobb.. and Raji... and Jordy... and Jennings... and Bishop (6th round, for reals?)... and Hayward (this kid is lights out for a rookie DB)... the list goes on. Nobody can draft perfect but I'd put his draft hit/miss ratio against anyone else and expect it to hold up. Draft and develop baby!

As an Aaron Rodgers owner I prefer they keep Crosby. Going for it on 4th down from the 30 is awesome.
Rodgers does convert on 40% of 3rd and 4th downs in general.http://www.footballperspective.com/quarterback-performance-on-third-and-fourth-downs/I would assume if you made a 3rd and 7 a 4th and 3 after a short pass it would even increase. You could pass on field goals in general.
More teams should go on 4th down more often. Especially with 5 yards or less to go and on the good side of the 50 yard line. I'm fine with Crosby staying as the bulk of his misses are from 50+.
