WEEI is reporting that Curt Schilling was sent back to Boston on Tuesday afternoon to be checked out by the medical staff.
A precautionary MRI is likely. Schilling has avoided arm troubles for several years. This probably isn't anything major, but it's smart of the Red Sox to be sure. If Schilling needs to go on the DL, it's likely that Jon Lester will get the chance to replace him in the rotation. The left-hander is worth picking up in any AL-only leagues in which he's available.
