Cut Day tracking thread (1 Viewer)

Slaton has a good shot if he goes to ARI or CLE... Will be interesting to see if HOU keeps him

Per Houston Texans SB Nation site - Final cuts all made

In addition to Dickerson @ WR from earlier, Tolliver & Holliday got cut (they kept just signed Bryant Johnson as WR4)

RB Chris Ogbonnaya also got cut

Slaton made the final 53....Tolliver was actually placed on IR (Concussion)

 Really hoping they are holding out for a draft pick for him.

Cowboys cut Lonyae Miller & Keep Jones/Murray/Choice/Tanner @ RB - No Fullback though, so they could still be trying to trade Choice (per Cowboys SBNation Site). Wr Jesse Holley made the team (from the reality show).

Keeping 2 K's Bailey (Points) & Buehller (Kickoffs)

Colts cuts are done and they KEPT: Brown/Carter/Evans/Spahn @ Tailback (w/Addai) & Gonzo & Blair White @ WR (they activated White OFF of offseason PUP - so he won't be going on reg. season PUP list)....

Avery looked good too. He's a f/a and years end, so that could have been a part of it. Rams went with rookies Salas and Pettis over him.

Patriots cut 5th round TE Lee Smith. Undrafted Will Yeatman makes it. I was a fan of both of them, too bad they weren't going to keep 4 TEs.

Donnie Avery waived by St. Louis (according to @caplannfl).
Good news for Brandon Gibson IMO. 1-Amendola...slot though2-MSW...just not on the same page nor could he be with Bradford in such a short period of time.3-Gibson...Gonna be a weekly contributor early on IMO. If he hits, maybe you can trade him at some point in the 1st month of the season. 4-DX...kind of surprised he made it but I guess they see enough in him and possibly some long targets. Clayton whenever he can come back...2 Rookies, i see little impact for them since they are rookie WRs, traditionally they don't make a big impact. I still think TO is going to look like a great option for them by week 2 when they can sign him and cut him if need be and not be on the hook for anything.

Pretty sure it's a contract numbers game.MSW = injury prone and 1 year contract.Clayton = injury prone and 1 year contract/PUP.Avery = injury prone + 1 year contract/cut.Alexander = injury prone and signed long term. They probably didn't want to negotiate that many iffy contracts at the end of the year. Too many "try before you buy" WRs already on staff. They have their steady WRs in Gibson/Amendola. They need a homerun threat to take the job.
