The dilemma. . . .you drafted these players. . . .they have underperformed all season. . . .but you have hope that they may one day return (this season) to help your team to the championship. . . . .problem is, they only seem to be getting worse. You don't want to drop them because by name alone they are better than many of the other players on other teams in your league. . .and you don’t want them to have YOUR players because you are afraid that they will help them. . .even FBG still has them rated as players to keep. . . .but I think we are all wrong.
SO who are these players?
Naturally I think I have a few on my team, but I figured I might bring it up. Let's work out who should we hold for several more weeks vs. who should we drop so that they may infect another team with their loser skills.
Here are my additions, please add some of your own.
Santana Moss - The speedster, the #1 on his team, the one who will help bring Campbell up to a starting FF QB, the one who benched himself 2 weeks ago and then brought us to our knees with an 8 yard performance just last week. In fact, Moss has been more than 2X by Antwaan Randle El. . . .Yup, this is the guy that has yet to catch a TD, and has hit to break even 90 yards. Don’t worry though. . . .2 weeks ago he dropped 6 passes and then fumbled an end around. . .that was good for negative in my league. VOTE : DROP, someone needs to pat this guy on the back and give him a hug. Seems to me there are some confidence issues here. Too bad for Moss and his owners that this is the NFL, not Glamour Magazine.
Javon Walker - UGH. . . .here's a tough one. Javon came out strong Both of his first 2 games were for over 100 yards, and while they were with out TDs, it was still looking like you made some headway in your draft. . .BUT WAIT, week 3 a new WR started showing up, and after that 3rd week Javons knee felt funny. But dont worry, he was still playing in week 4. . . .well, that was until week 4. Then it was a couple weeks out and I will be back after the bye. What’s that? Javon shops at the JERK STORE? Thanks! After nearly 4 weeks of waiting, you decide to go under the knife and will be back in 6 more. VOTE : DROP, missing 10 weeks of the season doesn’t help build a friendship between you and your QB. To make matters worse, theres a new whore in town that is stealing the looks you used to get. The best Walker will be on that team when he gets back is #2
Marq Colston - 8 Catches for 100 yards is his best day so far this year. I might be stretching it, but I think he had games last year that out performed this entire season this year. He does have 2 TD's to date, he has been playing through an injury, he has only seen 1 game with under 7 passes come his way, and he does have a QB that is starting to pull it together a little. And looking at the schedule, it doesn’t look too nasty. Who knows, maybe his back will loosen up a little, maybe the saints win a few and get some happy love joy back in the team? VOTE : KEEP, not as a #1 or #2, but for a #3 you could do worse, and there is still upside.
