Is he still viewed as the #2 WR on GB even though his value puts him in the #4 slot? I'm looking for a reason to start him at WR3 over Collie and Burress so I have someone to watch tomorrow night.

Downside: 3/30

Upside: 6/80/1

Downside much more likely IMO week to week, but if this game turns into a shootout, Donald could easily jump in on the fun.

I took him very, very late for WR depth, and possibly to cover bye weeks. Just my humble opinion as (obviously) a non-Packer fan.

No way you can start him tomorrow night "just to watch him." There are no byes and your WR corps likely has no injury issues. You HAVE to have a better option. As for the entire season, he'll probably have one game where he goes for 125 & 2. And he'll be on your bench. The other 15 games, you'll barely notice he's on the field. He's just another guy at this point in his career.

I thought this was funny:

Speaking with the Green Bay Press-Gazette, Packers WR Donald Driver says his motivation to keep playing is to set some franchise records. Driver is 40 yards shy of James Lofton's franchise-record 9,656 yards receiving and is 12 touchdowns away from matching Sterling Sharpe's second-best 65 career touchdown receptions (Don Hutson is first with 99). "If I can play two to three more years and put a nice little stamp on it, those records will stand there forever," Driver said, "and when it's all said and done, maybe one day I can stand up here in Canton, Ohio, saying, 'I made it.'"
:loco:

I disagree that he's "just another guy" in real football, but I don't think he'll be much in fantasy football. He's still a very good slot receiver and, as was true even when injured last year, he'll be a machine for converting third downs.

There are three #2 WR - Nelson/Jones/Driver

All will get about 45 rcpt. TD? Hard to say, although if I was a betting man I would say Nelson gets the most - he is a tough match up for most #2 or #3 db especially on the corner routes

I've got injury questions on Lance Moore, and injury/QB questions on Austin Collie, so I'm also stuck looking at Driver as a plug and play tomorrow night. I'll probably stick with Moore if he looks good to go, but Driver could be making an unexpected appearance in my starting lineup tomorrow night. I believe my opponent is starting Jordy Nelson, so it'll be a fun one.

Driver's not a terrible "swing for the fences" type of play this week. But as others have said you're much more likely to get something like 3/35/0 than 6/80/1 here. Driver, Nelson, and Jones are going to cause fantasy owners a lot of frustration this year.
