**Dallas at New York Giants** (+3.5/45) (1 Viewer)

This will be an old school NFC East game. Hard hitting. Tough. Not for the faint of heart. Someone will make a difference and a huge play..or two. Wrtie this down....Isaiah Simmons...

Big Blue- 23
America's Former Team- 21

With the rain coming down and it shaping up to be a slow ground-and-pound game, I don't see how that favors the Cowboys (NBC what are you on?). It's a home opener for Big Blue, and if they're ever going to beat Dallas it's right here.

Think Giants pull this out. Cowboys probably the better team but a road game in week 1 against a decent divisional foe in poor weather isn't a recipe for success.

We are about to find out if the Giants closed the talent gap between them and the Cowboys.
As a Giants fan I am tempering my expectations, The offensive additions are nice but on defense the Giants are starting two rookie CB, one of which was a 6th round pick from ODU.
I hope Wink can dial up the pressure because if not, it might be a long night for the young guys

All the Giants are trying to do is create a misdirection situation where the D is imbalanced on a run play. The Giants then love to either go off end with Jones or pull it back and flood short with a WR or TEs.

EDIT: and there goes Jones on the end.

well you just can't predict stuff like that. Great drive ruined by a bad snap, then a blocked FG attempt returned for 6. Bad luck for Giants

What do we need tonight @rockaction?

Hey, buddy! What's up? You rang? I hope you're enjoying your Sunday. First football Sunday of the year is always a cool day and night.

As far as the story goes, we had a bit of a down week. Post-championship hangover. I tried to tell all the guys, but they didn't listen.

Anyway, we're up twenty with Micah Parsons playing against Saquon Barkley.

Tomorrow we have Breece Hall (and Allen Lazard) and Tony Adams up against Stefon Diggs and Ahmad Gardner.

eta* There's Parsons! A few more of those, please.

The other thing is it takes the crowd out of the game. Do you know how how many times the Giants have had a home primetime game the last 2-3 years and the crowd gets knocked out early?

Yeah I drafted great for us. Hall was a bit of a long shot though.

secondary miscommunication there on that Lamb catch, notable since Jackson doesn't play much slot :(. No other Giants DB recognized the pick.

They thought they got rid of their XP curse by ditching Maher, but no.

Hmm...

One would have thought. Why are they signing guys that haven't been around conventional football for at least college? That's what I would look for. You play soccer in high school and then you kick in college like most guys do. That's how it should be. You need to at least be game-seasoned and tested. Seems awfully odd to have SB aspirations and sign a guy like that.

Perhaps he'll prove me wrong later on this year.
