My take on him:

Good straight line speed.
Good for stretching the field

Struggles to get separation
Not a home run hitter - not great YAC
Lack size
Not a great route runner.

He just does seem like a fit.
Just my opinion though.

Trying to find some highlights for James Washington and read these comments from Steelers fans:
As a Steeler fan it bothered me he wasn't on the field more. He's tough and dependable. He made plays everytime they gave him a chance. Hope the cowboys utilize his potential and he prospers. He deserves to be recognized.

This guy is legit and always comes in clutch when you need em. Hope he shines with the Cowgirls (Steelers fan here lol). My favorite thing about him is that his off season training is working on the farm bailing hay and such haha not sure if it still is, but I know it was at one point

Steelers fan here. I think Dallas is getting a really solid #2 receiver. Definitely a guy that can make some really spectacular catches. Creates pretty decent separation, and has nice speed. Wish Pitt would’ve utilized him more

Mostly positive. A couple saying he doesn't get great separation and some saying that Big Ben had issues with him so didn't feed him the ball.

After watching a bunch of his videos Im excited to see him in the mix. Maybe its the #13 he wore in Pitt but he looks like a lot like Gallup pre possession. Maybe less speed but slightly better and more aggressive at high pointing the ball. Really good hands. Tough runner after the catch.

Yeah I have no idea what any of his stats are, but he always passed the eyeball test for me in Pittsburgh when given a chance

I just don`t see it in Dak Prescott.

Plus has he lost a step since his injury? Looks slower when he is moving.

... and they have to play the Vikings next weekend. Seems like a must win game to me, which means we all know how that will turn out.

Nah. The Giants game the following week is must win, this one won't change the likely outcome. Regardless its a very tall stretch to win the division, but they're in good shape for a wild card, win or lose against the Vikings.

Such LO-SERS!!!!!

Hate hate hate The Dallas Cowboys. WHY? WHY DO I FOLLOW THIS TEAM? They can’t flat out suck or get hot and cold, noooooo. We gotta pretend we’re good 80% of the time but **** the bed whenever it counts except for an incredibly brief time when I was 13 years old?

F this team right in the ***!!!!

I quit the faith back around the turn of the century. No regrets.

I’ve been a fan my whole life. Will always be a fan, but I don’t enjoy routing for this team at all. There is no grit, no toughness. They talk a good game but always fail in late stages of consequential moments. As a little kid watching Staubach play, we were never out of it. Even during the Danny White era, we won plenty of big games. Moving on to the 90s- that teams accomplishments speak for itself- the true disappointment there was not winning more titles, but they did hoist three Lombardi’s. The early 2000s- they stunk, so no real expectation. It’s the Romo/Dak era that really sticks in the craw- lots of talent, great wins in September/October, but like the paper tigers these teams are/were, nothing but shoulder shrugging and excuse making in December. What- two, maybe three playoff wins in 20 years? The bottom line is that this has not been an easy iteration of players to route for.

I ripped them pretty good last week.

Equal props today, that was good football. I was even happy with Kellen Moore. That is how I would like to see pieces moved.

Keep giving Pollard 15+ touches. Use Zeke in big short yardage and goal line. Motion. Keeping Dak clean and providing him high percentage options.

Nice game fellas.

Anyone happen to catch that assclown coach of the Eagles celebrating beating the powerhouse Colts. Embarrassing.

That was an emotional win for the "assclown". He's very close to Reich and still knows a lot of people in the organization that he feels he owes a lot to.

And coming on a short week and having to travel...

Embarrassing is you calling the Eagles coach "assclown".

Nice win Cowboys.

The dude is 100% “grade A” assclown and to even suggest otherwise is being disingenuous at best.

It’s great for football, the world needs more Jerry Glanvilles.

ehh, he is emotional, and plays into it. I don't know if that deems as an "assclown" it is the same as Campbell or some of the other emotional guys, Siriani is just emotional without being a meathead. the celebration was really based on winning for Reich, and it does seem that there is a lot of behind the scene stuff in Indy that isn't out in the public that people in the NFL feel.

I think he’s an incredibly talented offensive game planner and scheme guy. He’s got a weird eccentricity and temper to him.

Reminds me a little bit of George Allen.

He's also 9-1 and just won a highly emotional game. And yes, he's a little different than your typical NFL head coach.

this definitely is true. was funnier last year with his initial press conference being a big flop, and his analogy of the flower growing after they had a slow start to the season.

definitely makes him unique, but listening to former players about him (like Brisett described in the preseason) gives the impression that majority of NFL players really like playing for him with his temper and energy. if that translates to wins, than i am all for the quirky guy if it works

Went to the game in Minneapolis - loved every minute of it.

The Vikings really thought their record was an indicator of who they are and they're just not very impressive. I'm not impressed with O'Connell and his usage of Dalvin Cook, especially given the success GB had in their running game. It was a great win, our pass rush is incredible - Diggs was impressive shadowing Jefferson all game. It was the win Dallas needed, especially after that failure to close out a game in Lambeau.

I think Dallas' balance makes them dangerous. I don't think we have been this balanced since Dak's rookie year. I'd really like to see CeeDee take that expected leap. I don't think Schultz has played his way into an extension. I may be in the minority, but Zeke is as necessary to this team as Pollard is because I witnessed those short yardage situations and Pollard isn't great in those situations; while it seems to come easy for Zeke.

I’m not denying his results etc

But Meh - I still think he’s an *** clown

I would hate him coaching my team.

He does some odd things but the guy knows how to win games. 9-1.

Didn't McCarthy dress up like Lombardi the other game? Who's the *** clown again?

Heck of a win against the hapless Colts.

There's a group on facebook 'Savage football memes' that I'm in. One of the members, George Johnson, is a 5 star troll with brilliant shtick. He gets people every time he posts. It's hilarious. It wouldn't happen to be someone from here, would it?

Lack of CBs will be the undoing here. OBJ will help run the offense a little smoother, but the CB depth is killer.

Pretty funny there's a realistic chance the first playoff game is vs. a team with a losing record followed by a trip to a team with a 3rd string QB. So it could be worse.

I like the thread title! Pretty sure I saw a video of glob of Cowboys fans from the past weekend chanting "Eagles suck" after you beat the Colts.

Love it!!

TY Hilton is still alive? (I hope I don't eat my words when he scores 2 TDs against Philly on Xmas Eve)

Does that mean OBJ is out?

Ty Hilton coming to Dallas

The #Cowboys are securing veteran WR help after all, signing longtime #Colts star TY Hilton, his agents @KatzBrosSports tell me and @SlaterNFL. He’s on a visit with the team today and should provide help down the stretch and in the playoffs. 👻 👻 👻 https://t.co/v3A4qQREVJ

:oldunsure:

T.Y. playing now, on a veteran minimum vs OBJ on a bad wheel and a multi year deal that won’t contribute this year? I’ll take that all day. Little risk with possible decent reward.

Yeah. OBJ doesn’t want to or isn’t healthy enough to play

With due respect to Cowboys fans, when does T.Y. Hilton's first hamstring explode?

Figured you guys were set with Washington coming back, now you throw T.Y. into the mix?

Whither Gallup? I roster the guy and it looked like he was turning the corner. Dang. That sucks.

No clue why they signed him. I can’t imagine he’s going to take snaps from Gallup.
By all accounts Washington is healthy and looks good.
I’m baffled honestly
