Where do I start here, besides crediting Bob Sturm of Dallas' 1310 The Ticket for the "Jedi" moniker.

Let's start with Sean Payton for pointing him out to Bill Parcells (Romo broke Payton's passing records at E. Illinois).

Secondly, let's give Parcells his just due for working with and preparing Romo the old-school way, with time and proper preparation.

Thirdly, to Vinnie Testaverde and Drew Bledsoe for showing him how to take care of themselves and how to prepare for games on a week-to-week basis.

The result:

He has completed 323 of 510 passes for 4,348 yards with 31 touchdown passes and 19 interceptions. In the Super Bowl era, only Kurt Warner has more passing yards (4,353 in 1999 with St. Louis) than Romo in his first 16 starts. Record: 11-5. Warner won league MVP honors that year, and oh ya, also the Super Bowl. Not to say Romo is there yet. But needless to say, he has "it".

And he's only getting his feet wet.

I'm sure those of you who drafted him are loving him, eh?

And the best part? It's evident that he is humble, loves playing the game, and is a very entertaining QB to watch play.

Romo is among the elite QBs in the league (outside of Brady and Manning yada, yada, yada)

I'm not ready to annoint him as a great QB yet. However, for the first time since Aikman I am not thinking about who should be playing QB anymore. Jerry needs to sign him in the next few weeks to take advantage of the cap savings by stretching the deal.

Not sure what you're getting at, but Dallas had no intention of drafting Brady Quinn outside of an intention to trade. Not enough snaps during the offseason and training camp to go around for two young, inexperienced QBs. They learned that when they drafted Aikman and Steve Walsh back-to-back. This is the NFL, not USC.

I was saying that chances of the ESPN talkies discussing Dallas taking a QB in round 1 of the 2008 draft is nul

That's cool. So we're on the same page.Mel Kiper Jr. can really be out there at times, and has worn out his welcome. From what I hear, he's done with draft coverage for ESPN. Word has it they are bringing in Todd McShay to replace him. Good move.

He is off to an AMAZING start to his carreer. It's interesting to point out what Derek Anderson is doing in Cleveland. His first 8 starts he has put up number pretty comparable to Romo's first 8.

Both QB's were afterthoughts or No-thoughts in their respesctive Drafts and both sat for 2-3 years and learned.

Now, they sit #2 and #3 in my League's Format.

Both need to cut their INT's in Half to truly become elite though, IMO.
