Eli shredded them both games last year. Do they have any shot of stopping him, or more of the same? Cowboy homers - what say you?

The Secondary is Great.......it's the front line that worries me.......... :mellow:The Cowboys have the tendency to do a good job against Eli in the 1st half, it's the 2nd that they've made their mental mistakes and he torches them every time.ETA: To answer your question, it's a different secondary. They are physical and love going after the ball something that has been lacking for years. I don't see the same results from this secondary that we've seen in the past. These guys come to play.

should be better by default. Newman was toast. Carr is a big upgrade. Jenkins should be back soon. that will help. Barry Church is a bright spot at safety. Claiborne is catchin on supposedly.

we have LBs that can cover the middle in Lee and Carter.

need to figure out how to get more pressure on the QB. I think Rob Ryan will put his personell in a position to accomplish this.

with that said, they will prolly be middle of the road and have good and bad games.

We will see shortly cause as you stated the Giants tore them to shreds and a lot of late yards put on this defense last year. As far as the preseason they looked pretty good. This probably the biggest test they face because Eli knows this team pretty well.

The secondary is light years better. That improves both the pass rush as well as the coverage. Having Ratliff out hurts, but not as much as losing, say DWare.

The defense should finally be able to run Rob Ryan's defense for the first time since he's been there. I expect big things from the defense. It's the O-Line that's the concern.
