I own each of these backs in different leagues. I've been trying to move all of them. I've gotten some horrible offers for Felix, and while I'm not his biggest fan, I thought I'd get better offers than what I've gotten. Don't get me wrong, when I've seen him on the field he's looked electric. He just seems to have the injury bug. I still think he's worth a potentially top 5 rookie pick. I love Barber. I think his value is at least a 1st round rookie pick, especially if he retains his closer role. Not many feel the same, so I've been looking to swap him for a multiple player deal. And when it comes to Choice, maybe I'm a little optimistic. He seems to do everything very well, nothing spectacular. Therefore I've been trying to get a 2nd round rookie pick for him. I'm pretty reasonable when it comes to trades in my dynasty leagues. I've come to learn not to over value rookie picks. Am I over valueing these guys?

I've been thinking about this for a while now. Last year my initial researh told me to stay away from Dallas and Baltimore. There are a lot of rush attempts, but it's a log jam. After I thought about it a little more I wanted a slice of that 500+ rush Baltimore pie and was lucky to pick Rice. This year I think Felix is in a similar boat to take over, the drawback is DAL is not a big rushing team of late. 394, 382, 362 the past 3 years. They seem to be a little more committed to the pass again this year. That said, out of the crew I like Felix. He is the kind of guy that can be dangerous from anywhere. Yeah he might get beatup and out for a game or two, but at the cost of his ADP I think he's a potential home run hitter. I agree with your comments on Choice. He does what he does and has had no growth. MBIII is good, but is showing signs of wear. I think the future lies with Felix, who also fits well into a passing scheme very well. Hell if Jerry Jones has anything to say about he will be the feature back. You do need to find a guy to pay and it's a tough sell unless someone has a gut feeling who will payoff. I would dump MBII and Choice if you can get a second or 3rd respectively for Barber and Choice. Good luck.

I like Felix for the next couple of years in Dallas. I think if he can stay healthy he'll be a nice RB2 with an occassional RB1 week.

Choice I love. But not in Dallas. I think he can be a feature back and is in my opinion the most complete back of the bunch. He's just logjammed behind two bigger names. I'm stashing Choice to use once his rookie contract is up and he signs somewhere else. He'll be a few years older but has very little wear on his tires. He'll be good. Just not useable for about two years.

Choice is going nowwhere. This will be Barbers last year in Dallas.

Barber's also 27+ years old to start this year. Since non-elite backs tend to fade a bit earlier, a 28 year old Barber probably won't be able to compete with a 24-year old Felix in 2011, whether he's in Dallas or not.IMO Felix is still a screaming buy if he hasn't already been snagged by someone in your league that loves him.

jones has by FAR the most upside. towards the latter 1/2 of last season jone really emerged. i love barber, he is my favorite player but im afraid he just does not have the burst he once did. saying that i think they will use him to close games out and he will get his "ugly" points. i think jones by years end will be the back with by far the most points.

thing is about jones is he runs way too upright and takes hits after hits. Dbacks usually have to account for his speed by taking angels on him and being that felix runs upright, Dbacks lay him out (most of the time along the sidelines). im hoping running backs coach Skip Peete teaches jones to run lower, but then again maybe that will sacrafice some speed.

per jerry jones:

"Felix is way ahead of where he's been as a receiver,'' the owner said. "He's been impressive with how he's running his routes.

"That has a chance to get ugly if he's really good at running those routes coming out of the backfield.''

Choice is worth more than most people give him credit. He is just buried on the depth chart because the other 2 RBs are pretty good and Dallas has a lot of money in them. So hence why Choice doesn't get the carries he should. When he gets the carries. In 2008 he had a game with 17 carries and did this

17 Rushes 90 yards 1 TD 10 Targets 7 REC 25 yards

(this was game in 2008 against an above average DEF)

18 Rushes 82 Yards 1 TD 7 Targets 4 REC 36 yards

2009 game against Carolina.

He only gets carries like this once or twice a season cause of injuries ahead of him. If he got the carries he would be a top 12 or 13 RB easy. I"m just saying. Man I wish he would go to another team. He doesn't really have any weakness's in his game.

I traded MB III in my dynasty league to the Felix Jones owner. 2 PPR TEs, so I got Heath Miller back in return. It's a gamble for both of us. MBIII is entering year 6 I think, and he has had 2 down seasons in a row...at best I think he can produce at top20 status maybe once or twice again during his career unless he gets traded which I don't think Dallas really wants to do.

Miller is about the same age but I felt he has many more good years ahead of him, assuming BB can stay out of trouble. Pitt has some real question marks at their WR2/3 slots for the moment despite the Wallace hype. I think Miller can repeat his numbers form a year ago and if he lands in the top10 a few more times in his career, I think I will come out ahead.

I'm really surprised that Jones hasn't garnered more interest. I was looking for a young WR, pick, or combo of both. I've only had 2 offers thus far:

1) 1st rd rookie pick that was originally mine. Will be somewhere in the bottom of the 1st. Would rather have a top 5 pick.

2)Mario Manningham and a 3rd. I countered with Kenny Britt and a 1st. I know it's a little much, but 1 bad offer deserves 1 in return.

Shawnky, no offense but you're looking at your guys through Owner Goggles. You're saying that you love all 3 of the Cowboys running backs but quite honestly, there isn't a lot to love about any one's situation.I think you're the most off on Barber. To say that you think Barber's value is at least a 1st round rookie pick, I don't know what to say. He's not the same guy we saw 2 to 3 years ago, he's doesn't have that burst and just isn't shaking that initial tackle. He's maybe worth a mid 2nd round pick, maybe. If you think he's worth a 1st round pick you must think he's going to do well this year. You'd be better off just keeping him and hoping you're right as you won't get that kind of value for him.Choice does do things well but I'm convinced he's only going to get starter fantasy points when Felix Jones is hurt or Barber is out. If he was the starter with both those guys out, he could be a top 10 guy on a given weekend. With that said, aren't there are a lot of guys we could say that about around the league?Felix Jones is your most valuable of the 3. If he builds on the end of last season where he was very good, making guys miss, making catches then this guy could be in for a great season. However, I worry about his durability as well. If you're lucky, you could find a Cowboy slappy who is willing to give up the farm for Felix Jones but I think most people are realistic, they know the situation. Felix Jones is a talented young RB but he's on a team with a lot of weapons, including RB's. People aren't going to give up everything for a guy like that, it's too risky. I don't think you'll get the value you're looking for out of your Cowboy RB's, and that's usually the case in RBBC situations. However, that also doesn't mean these guys won't produce, so holding on to them and using them is probably your best bet at this point.

everyone says 'if' about Felix Jones..that's a red flag right there..if we're talking about any other team, this would be called the worst RBBC in the NFL - but it's the Cowboys so everyone thinks one guy is going to emerge as the #1 RB and rush for 1400 yards and 15 tds...doubtful it ever happens..

Jones won't get more than 200 carries..

is Choice really something special? probably not..he's a good filler when, and we know it will happen, Jones gets hurt (again).

I have a strong feeling that Felix is going to have the kind of year that cements him as a top 10 dynasty back. Don't ask me to back that up with anything, just a gut feeling. I have tried to get him in any league I can.
