Alex Marvez of Fox Sports reported Wednesday that Alexander has required "multiple" surgeries on his right knee because of an infection after undergoing a second reconstruction of his ACL in January, according to a source.

The latest setback could cost Alexander the entire 2014 season.

Marvez reported that Alexander has received intensive antibiotic treatment to go with the multiple surgical procedures, according to the source.

Just playing the other side, but if he tries a comeback in late 2014 or 2015 you have to root for the guy. Don't ya?

Granted we've seen some awesome medical developments in surgically repaired knee injuries but....maybe then he'll be like Robert Edwards.A shell of his former self, but lots of fans rooting for him.

I'm clearly being overly optimistic but I don't think his career is over. The 5 earlier surgeries were all on his left knee. The latest surgeries/complications were on his right knee. It is probably only the faintest glimmer of hope, I think i would try and hold him on a deep dynasty roster. When I say deep I am thinking 40+

Any update on him? Haven't heard anything (I assume he isn't even practicing?)
He's not on a team. He got cut by San Diego in the spring. Probably won't know anything until next year. Then he will show up and tear the other ACL.

How many ACL's does that dude have?? I think he's torn about 4 or 5 already...

I think on just one wheel. I thought he had 9 surgeries so far including the 3 on this past ACL.
