Darrell Jackson (1 Viewer)

They said he will be sitting out most of , if not all of the preseason, but is trying to make it for the regular season.

With the way this injury has nagged him all off season, I don't expect it to not affect the regular season somewhat.

 
The X-Factor will be Nate Burleson.

The success or failure of the Seahack

passing game may fall squarely on his shoulders.

 
DJax is really falling down my draft board with these knee issues. I think Id rather have Joey Galloway, Santana Moss at this point, so he's at about WR15 in my board.

I hope Burleson plays well, but I bet Hasselbeck leans on Engram and Stevens. Also, Mili finally looks healthy again. Won't be shocked to see Seattle use more two TE sets. Peter Warrick is back to full speed after two solid years of being somewhat gimpy. Could be a playmaker is they get him the ball in space.I am still sky high on Jackson. The "procedure" he had done in the off-season wasn't from a new injury. It was only to clean up the knee from the previous surgery. I think he'll be fine and step in at full speed just like he did last year.
 
Jackson was winning me games before he got injured last year, with four consecutive, SOLID games: 6 catches for 65 yards and a tuddie week one, 8 catches for 131 in week two, 8 catches for 125 in week three, and 7 catches for 55 and a tuddie in week four. What did he do in his first game back? Only had 6 catches for 72 and a tuddie. Then he went and had a sparkling playoffs. That is the kind of consistency I salivate over in a head-to-head league. He won't go off for 170 and two touchdowns, but he'll give you rock-solid production every time you play him. He is a suitable #1 and a dynamite #2 reciever.

I see zero reason for that to drop off this year once he is good to go. Hasselbeck knows where he is going when he needs a first down or wants a quick TD strike...their chemistry has grown every year and is peaking. Burleson should be a nice compliment. If Jackson plays 16 games he will finish with absolutely no less than 80 catches for 1100 yards and 10 tds, take it to the bank.

This article is why I picked up DJ early in my dynasty draft:

... the Seahawks strive to get closer to the 60-40 pass-to-run ratio that Holmgren prefers in his hybrid of the West Coast offense.

In 2005, the Seahawks ran (519) more than they passed (474) for only the second time in Holmgren's 14 seasons as a head coach in the NFL.

Why do they want to run LESS after going to the Super Bowl by running MORE? I'm wondering if the other time during Holmgren's tenure was also a SB visit by the Pack.Is it just to save wear and tear on SA? I don't get it. :confused:

 
I heard Matt Hasselbeck and Bobby Engram on Sirius tonight. Hasselbeck stated DJAX is not practicing at all, and won't for a while longer.

I'm not a fan of guys who don't play and practice, I would think most FFrs would drop him down if they aren't Seahawk fans...

Yeah that reminds me of the Raiders when they went to the Super Bowl and lost next year they came back with a different offensive system and just had a bad season. Age was part of the reason but still similar
