Darren Sproles- When to draft him? (1 Viewer)

My money league is PPR as well as 1 point per 25 kick/punt return yards.

Sproles finished last season as the 3rd ranked running back in the league.

What are his odds to repeat that performance this season and when should he be drafted in a 10 team 2 RB & 2 Flex league?

Im in a league just like yours and i was able to draft him this year at 3.12 in a 16 team league. Kind of surprised he slipped to me

In my 20 team league last year, I drafted him in Round 5 as my RB2 before he blew up and was a Top 10 RB by season's end.

I assume it's a 1 QB/2 RB/3 WR/1 TE/2 Flex set up? I'd argue that he should go Round 2. He probably won't repeat last year but should get 60+ catches and be more valuable than most return yard wise as he doesn't compete with anybody else.

Thanks for the response.

I'd also try to determine value in terms of how many RBs go by. If you're up in Round 2 and there have been 8-10 RBs taken, he'd likely be good value as well. Remember that # of the position taken is also indicative of value, not just Round.

Sproles was the 17th RB taken in my draft last year (on top of the 20+ Keepers) and I was mocked a little for "reaching" for him in R5.

I play in a league with very similar settings, except it's 2RB/2WR/1FLEX and it's point every 20 return yards, + bonus points for long TDs. I'd be ecstatic if he fell to round 5 (56th pick), I might take him in round 3 (32nd pick) if I don't think everyone is sleeping on him, depending on who falls. Considering Ingram is still having knee problems, I think Sproles produces in a big way again, probably will end up top 15 back (worst case if healthy) in these types of scoring formats, probably should go towards the end of round 2.

well, it's still early, and I don't think return yardage is factored in here, but ffcalc has him pegged at bottom 2 and 15th rb in ppr right now.
