quite good, my friend. very definitely shaped for modern singledom, with all those staccato syllables for verse & all (not my cuppa but shonuff evvybody else's), but decent build & nice hook w the "youyouyouyoo-oo". excellent effort, might have legs. 

ETA: since she wrote it, a note - she got impatient & didnt build to "coming back to you" as strongly as she could. bringing in the "keeps me"s earlier at different volume levels as almost regretful throwaways and then blasting in with "comin back" woulda really grabbed em by the lobe

Nothing. She has it on iTunes, Spotify etc. She hasn't heard anything from the contacts she made while in Nashville, yet. She's still hoping, but doesn't really know what she should try.

Seems like it's really who you know and luck in the music industry. My friend's sister has had some success the last couple of years. Started writing songs for others and now releasing her own stuff. Kanye West actually was her big break when he was in the studio and heard one of her songs and wanted to use it. Britney Spears was going to use one of her songs but then didn't.
