Fred Koch’s big break actually came a few years earlier when he modernized oil refining in the Soviet Union for Stalin. He was getting sued for taking a process to market he developed with another company and didn’t own the idea, so he went to the Soviet Union which didn’t have IP laws.
After his success in the USSR, then Hitler hired him to build a refinery for the Third Reich.
The name Koch Industries didn’t emerge until Koch came back to America in the 1940s.
So, totally out of context to say Koch got his start working for Hitler. He also jumpstarted Stalin’s oil refining.
