I own both Bradshaw and Wilson.... Im hoping Bradshaw takes it easy and sits for 2 weeks.
But in reality, it wasn't. I can't imagine that anyone with anything on the line in their fantasy league had Wilson in their lineup this past weekend, so the David Wilson lotto ticket won't pay off unless it's looking like he's in line for significant touches next week and he justifies it with a productive outing. In dynasty though, this kid has some serious upside in that Giants offense. That's easy to be said (especially now), but the fact is smaller bench leagues make that very difficult. Yes, Wilson had this upside and many knew it, but it took Bradshaw to get hurt (expected), then Brown to get hurt (for those who knew his history, still a good shot to happen) for this to take place. In this case, the lotto ticket was cashed, at least for a night.this is why i said you have to just hold this guy all year...
Sounds like either way, Wilson should be getting a lot more carries...Giants | Ahmad Bradshaw undergoing MRI Mon Dec 10, 01:51 PM New York Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw (knee) is undergoing an MRI and other tests on his knee Monday, Dec. 10. Head coach Tom Coughlin said he does not want to speculate on Bradshaw's status until after the results of the tests.I own both Bradshaw and Wilson.... Im hoping Bradshaw takes it easy and sits for 2 weeks.![]()
I frigging dropped Wilson last week to add Bell. Good move on my part heh? Oh well..FYI - Bradshaw underwent an MRI this afternoon for his knee. Stay tuned.
I IR'd the guy to pick up DX. I get the guy back next year, but can't use him in the playoffs this week and next...I frigging dropped Wilson last week to add Bell. Good move on my part heh? Oh well..FYI - Bradshaw underwent an MRI this afternoon for his knee. Stay tuned.
Andre Brown did just as well, if not better, than Wilson did and he was only used to give Bradshaw a breather when he returned. While I see this situation a little different since Wilson is a big play kind of guy and Brown is similar to Bradshaw in how they run, I would play it safe and not start Wilson this week unless Bradshaw is out (not likely).Let's assume Bradshaw is active this week, are you guys still ballzy enough to start Wilson?
In that case, start him!Wilson can do a backflip after running 100 yards.
Agreed.Upcoming games are big for the Giants in terms of the division and conference seeding. No way Coughlin turns the reins over to a still-raw Wilson unless due to injury. Even if Bradshaw gets hurt, I imagine Lumpkin would be worked in the mix to protect Eli.Uhhh...I'm a Wilson owner AND a realist...Bradshaw has been running hard the last couple of weeks. Sure, he still gets dinged up but I think so long as he is able he's gonna get the lions share of carries. He has been hitting the holes hard and running with some burst. Is he as explosive as Wilson? No. But he's been doing well.Wilson will probably get 8 touches if Bradshaw is healthy and gets the start...barring an in game injury to Bradshaw.
Tick-tick-tick-tick-tick.Still waiting....'scrumptrulescent said:Interested in the MRI report on Bradshaw. Coughlin was hesitant to say anything about Bradshaw's future.

Rotoworld just said the following:JameyEisenberg Jamey EisenbergSounds like Ahmad Bradshaw (knee) will be out this week. Expect to see a lot of David Wilson, which makes him a low-end No. 2 RB
Ahmad Bradshaw has been diagnosed with a sprained knee and is considered questionable for Sunday's game against the Falcons.
It sounds like a Grade 1 sprain of a ligament, similar to the injury Robert Griffin III is working through right now. Bradshaw will not practice Wednesday, but coach Tom Coughlin declined to speculate any further than that. "I'm not going to rule him out of anything," he said while noting Bradshaw's toughness. If Bradshaw sits, explosive rookie David Wilson will be a borderline RB1 play while looking at 20 touches. If Bradshaw does gut it out on this balky knee and his chronically sore foot, we can safely expect a relatively even timeshare.
Don't jinx it.Could this really be happening?FF playoffs winning lotto ticket?

I have Gore, Bradshaw, McFadden, Wilson....Im rolling w/ McFadden/Wilson if Bradshaw is out.It is going to take a lots of balls to start Wilson this week. Right now I have him flexed over Avery which I am comfortable with whether Bradshaw plays or not. In another league its down to him or Sjax ...leaning Sjax so far.
I hear you. Foster and Richardson are locked in. The question I have is whether or not Wilson in a potential timeshare is better than Green-Ellis carrying the load, and I have to decied before Thursday night to boot. Certainly Wilson's upside is higher than Green-Ellis'. If I was certain Wilson was carrying the load, it would be a lot easier decision. It is going to take a lots of balls to start Wilson this week. Yep. Wilson or Kenny Britt. Wait and see for me...Now its decision time. Can we roll with this kid this week? This is make or break a season call.I'm sure all of us with him on the roster have other options which makes this such a tough choice.
In 2007, the three leading rushers for the G-men were Jacobs (1K season), Ward (600 in 8 games before breaking his leg), and Droughns. I will be doing the same if Bradshaw is out. Spiller is amazing but I worry about going against a tough Seahawks defense slowing him down just enough. Couple that with no goal line carries and I think the fresh legs, goal line opportunities, breakaway speed, a coach that knows how to use the run game, and a weak run defense and you have a no-brainer must start. In 2007, the three leading rushers for the G-men were Jacobs (1K season), Ward (600 in 8 games before breaking his leg), and Droughns. In the same boat. I was debating Wilson over Murray even if Bradshaw played. If Bradshaw is out I don't think twice about it.I've got to decide between Demarco Murray and Wilson now.
Agreed. Who else do the Giants have? He's almost a lock for 20+ touches, on a fast track, that could turn out to be a shootout. All aboard, indeed. In the same boat. I'm starting Wilson over Bradshaw in one league as it stands now but in another I'm not that worried about Spiller since FJax is out. Seattle's run D hasn't been as stout the last few weeks as it was earlier in the season. According to the link below, the 'hawks have given up the 6th most RB points the last 3 weeks.http://www.fftoday.com/stats/fantasystats.php?Season=2012&GameWeek=Last3&PosID=20&Side=Allowed&LeagueID=1I will be doing the same if Bradshaw is out. Wilson says he wants to but the Giants could use Jernigan, Randle or Hixon for KR duty. The Falcons have the 31st ranked run defense in the NFL in YPC (4.9 YPC). They're 5th worst in allowing runs over 20 yards (12) and rushing TDs against (14). They've let up the most 40+ yard runs in the NFL (7).Keep in mind, this is a team that has been run on less than 17 other teams in the NFL (teams average just 26 carries a game against them).if he starts would he still return kicks??? im in a league that gives points for that also
So in my case ,or anyone in leagues that reward return points, you kind of want him to split time with Bradshaw, that way he would be sure to return kicks as well as play paret time RBWilson says he wants to but the Giants could use Jernigan, Randle or Hixon for KR duty. The Falcons have the 31st ranked run defense in the NFL in YPC (4.9 YPC). Keep in mind, that is a function of the points on offense they score, teams losing against them don't run as often. Depends on what you think the chances of NYG showing up strong in ATL are? Since Wilson has already shown to be a big play RB, those statistics are music to my ears. Wow, really? I have Martin, Spiller and Sproles(flex) and I can't imagine sitting one of these guys for an unknown in the fantasy playoffs. I'm getting the urge to but if it cost me a win and at least $250 (2nd place) then I would be pretty pissed. I've got that choice and as of right now I'm starting CJ over Wilson and Reggie Bush. That may change as we learn more but I think Johnson has a decent week vs. the Jets. Montell Owens just carved them up to the tune of 16.2 PPR points. I'm going to have a hard time benching him for David Wilson. The is precisely the type of team that Johnson has feasted on this year. The Jets are getting broomed in the offseason. They are just playing out the string.Would you start Wilson over CJ2K?

I drafted Spiller and started putting him in the lineup Wk 2.This decision is based on trusting Coughlin more than Gailey to utilize his most gifted athlete. It would not surprise me if Choice got 40% of the touches and GL carries. I'm being somewhat facetious - the Miami TNF game is a good indicator of what C.J.'s usage will be - but in all honesty I'm going away from my normal risk management philosophy and rolling the dice.Wow, really? It's not really like Wilson just came out of nowhere. Coughlin has known that this guy is an athlete and a playmaker, but that hasn't given him any playing time up until now. Coughlin just doesn't trust the guy to protect the football and protect his QB. Hopefully I'm wrong and he's just as blinded by his talent as we all are now too. Keep in mind though, he "only" rushed for 100 yards last week. I know he didn't have many carries and he looked great, but nobody knows how he will handle a full load. Also, for those of you looking for return yardage, if Bradshaw can't play, there's no way he's returning kicks as well as being the main RB. I'm not saying he's going to have a bad game, I'm just saying that even if Bradshaw doesn't play, there is a lot of risk involved with starting him. Him having some amazing kick returns doesn't remedy the fact that Coughlin doesn't trust him blocking. I think some people are risking too much when they have a sure thing RB and trying to go for the home run here. Up to you guys, but I'm not willing to take that risk in the playoffs.I drafted Spiller and started putting him in the lineup Wk 2.This decision is based on trusting Coughlin more than Gailey to utilize his most gifted athlete. It would not surprise me if Choice got 40% of the touches and GL carries.
