Cool storyQuick review:
I been a Giants fan since Lawrence Taylor was a rookie
Last year I took second place in the PFFL. The year before that I won my 12 team league full of Jewish realtors. This year in the FBGPC I am 4-0 so far.
So ... "bro" ... you maybe want to show a little respect ... and maybe listen to what I have to say. Lil bit.
I think this is wrong. It's probably more tiring for a defense to chase Wilson around the field than to ankle tackle Jacobs.I said this before, Giants will miss Jacobs as a pass blocker and as someone who can wear down defenses. It's time to get back to what won the Giants 2 Superbowls.
Bigger issue has been Baas and Snee playing when they could barley get out of their stance. Jacobs has been just as bad at pass blocking as the other RBs this year.Partially. Eli has been terrible. I watched last weeks game ... he's floundering ... part of that is he is not being protected properly by the RBs. None of the RBs can pass protect. Scott got cut over it. Wilson is on thin ice. Jacobs comes in and can pass protect ... maybe the offense can get back on track. That's what you attribute the Giants 0-4 start to?What you guys don't get is that Jacobs is effectively like a huge TE. He's an excellent pass blocker and a decent receiver. The Giants have clearly been missing a RB that was an excellent pass blocker. They are going nowhere fast if they can't protect Eli. Brandon Jacobs real world value, to the Giants right now ... it's like 10 times his fantasy value.
I mean, the Giants have all the pieces to be a high scoring passing offense ... oh yeah ... that's why the Broncos are starting the old veteran Moreno. Pass protection. Gold Jerry! GOLD! In the 9th round for me.

Nahhh ..... you prolly don't ... because then you would hafta admit that you didn't have a friggin clue what you were talking about.
So 1st&10 and 2nd&5 are passing downs and situations? Alright, cochise.OG_GF said:
2nd and 5 is not a passing down.OG_GF said:Yep. Never.cvnpoka said:jacobs is so good at catching and pass protecting that he has never in his career been a passing down back.

Jacobs had 20+ catches in a season exactly once in his career. Yeah, he is a major receiving threat.OG_GF said:Want me to post some more videos that show what Jacobs can do to help Eli in passing situations?

2nd and 5 isn't exactly a passing down.OG_GF said:Yep. Never.cvnpoka said:jacobs is so good at catching and pass protecting that he has never in his career been a passing down back.

1st and 10 is definitely not a passing downOG_GF said:
I've been saying since the Monday after Week 1 that this was the week he goes off. Still fully believe that. I'll say 120 total and 1 TD. Just feel like he's due for a massive break run. Figuring he'll put up like 60 on 15 carries and break one for 60.Pretty decent shtick by shark pool standards.
Wilson bandwagoners, anyone else predicting 100 combined yds and a score for Wilson this week at home vs. the Iggles? All aboard!
Seriously? WTF?OG_GF said:Quick review:

werdnoynek said:Yo bro, you can't come in here talking about Brandon Jacobs. This is a train headed for elite NFL RB status. If you're not on you're off.
Stop raining on our parade with your hopes and dreams for your waiver wire grab. Jacobs was on the brink of retirement and can get you a yard when you need 6. If you think you've struck gold with him, I'll buy you a cab to the next cash for gold shop and we can get a couple of drinks out of it.
Sheesh.
to late me and my friends are on the wagon... CHOO CHOOAre you kidding are you an internet tough guy on bjacobs jock.... get real dude. You need a life Lil bit.OG_GF said:Quick review:

Andre brown has been on 6 different teams and has 80 career carries and basically flops around from team to team. He makes darren mcfadden look durable. Man you need to quit digging your self in a hole. Your ######ed. We already went over all of this on like page 8.OG_GF said:And Andre Brown. Don't forget Andre Brown, who ... all along I have been very high on, despite his broken leg.
If they want to win, maybe giving dwilson 20 plus carries and keepin him on the field for more then 48 percent of the snaps... U think?OG_GF said:Really, a win this week ... there is still hope because the division is so bad ... but a loss ... historically, I know the Giants have come back and won some Superbowls when they were huge underdogs ... I can't remember them ever being 0-5. That's it ... season's over, man.
If your on the Dwilson train you have to update it baby cuz this thread is hot off the press and if you blink you may miss something... Spend some time to read each post.Insein said:Another reason I dropped Wilson is that this thread is so hard to gain information from. 488 new posts since 2 days ago. Sheesh.
LOLI had to get my car inspected last week, and at the car dealer, some guy was wearing a NYG Brandon Jacobs jersey. He looked totally stoked that he was able to dust that bad boy off and rep it in public. I live in Virginia Beach. Any chance that was you who I saw, OG_GF?
You should have told him you wanted to take his picture and patted him on the back. It's got to be David Wilson time. It's just got to.
The Giants' handling of their running backs this season has made almost no sense -- as if the Andre Brown injury in the final week of the preseason left them at a complete loss and they had no backup plan. Wilson complicated things by fumbling twice in the opener, but enough already. This is a Giants season going nowhere, and the team needs to find out what it's got for the future. Wilson has the talent to be a building-block piece, but if they don't loosen the reins he's not going to develop the way he needs to -- especially in terms of confidence. With Da'Rel Scott off the roster and Brandon Jacobs showing very little, the Giants should let Wilson be the feature back they drafted him to be. And if he can't handle it, then at least they'll know that in time for next offseason.
This is true. As a owner of him in dynasty this is what I want to know. Is he a guy I have to match up play this season because he will be the guy but he needs another year to grow into the role more like a Spiller, or Charles, plus the Giants suck. Or is time to get what I can for him and free up a roster spot instead of holding onto him for another 2 years hoping he turns into the next Thomas Jones, but is more likely to even up like Mark Ingram.W2W4: Eagles at Giants
