Well?

Batman and his villains are awesome. Superman and his freakin suck. Marvel is gonna win this in a landslide

Always been a DC fan but Marvel has been dominating the movie landscape except for Nolan's Batman. XMen, Spiderman alone killing anything DC puts out not named Batman.

Batman is my favorite but the rest of that DC list sucks. I wouldn't watch a movie involving any of them.

The thing I always kind of liked about DC is that they never lost sight of the fun in superheroes. Marvel too often has taken itself far too seriously.

I don't understand why they never made a Superman / Darkseid movie. If they don't do it soon, Marvel is gonna do a story involving Thanos and Darkseid will look like a Thanos ripoff to general audiences.

Thanos is already rumored to be in Avengers 2.

DC gets good pop from their television shows. Green Arrow and Teen Titans Go are pretty popular. Superman's Animated, Smallville, Batman The Animated Series and Teen Titans were all very popular cartoons. Gotham and The Flash look to continue this.

I don't think any of the MARVEL movies are as good as The Dark Knight.....but as a whole they've blown DC out of the water....particularly egregious are the Green Lantern and Man of Steel movies. Once Marvel laid down the blueprints...there's no reason for DC to deviate.

Business wise, MARVEL and Disney have it all over WB and DC.

I like certain aspects of the DC universe, but none of them have to do with any particular hero/villain. I like the stuff that takes place outside of earth, the lantern corps and booster gold/beetle. But in general the heroes are awful and the villains are even worse.

Even though Marvel has so many different comics and characters, including a seemingly endless supply of new characters, the majority are at least interesting if not great. So many of the characters in the Marvel universe never fade, they somehow find ways to maintain relevance. Marvel also blows DC out of the water when it comes to breadth, they expound on all of their characters much better and to a much bigger degree than DC.

All that, and Marvel has the two of the three best villains (imo) between the two universes, Thanos and Dr. Doom.

He'll be the main villian in Avengers 3.
If he is that will be interesting, cause they said they plan for him to be the villain of the Guardians of the Galaxy series. Granted

he knows the location of almost all the infinity gems now, three of which are now in Asgard in the movie-verse.
Should be good tempo building.

I don't know if you've ever read that.....but that's one of my favorite mini-series. Just great imagery and no holds barred. I don't think that A3 will reach that scope....but if they're drawing from that source material...it'll be very impressive.

I might watch the Avengers movie if they are going to base it on the Infinity Gauntlet mini series. Legion of the Unliving would be another good one.

He was in Avengers 1 and will be the principle villain in Avengers 3 but I am not sure about him being in Avengers 2 (Ultron is the villain in that one). He will also be featured in Guardians of the Galaxy on some level although not as the main villain.

It's a fair point and it is without question true that Thanons (created in 1973)is derivative of Darkseid however Darkseid was created by Jack Kirby in late 1970 who was with Marvel from 1958-1970 and 1976-1978. Nobody questions that Kirby is a Marvel guy. I am not granting Marvel ownership of Darkseid but I also have no problem giving them both credit as being bad ### villains who deserve to stand on their own.

Ronan the Accuser is the main villain in Guardians of the Galaxy (Marvel hopes it will be a series of films but audiences determine that). Thanos has a role, bigger than his role in Avengers 1 but not a big part overall.

Not sure how derivative Thanos was. Jim Starlin was pretty brilliant in his own right.

DC

Superman + Batman just too much firepower. Green Lantern my sneaky favorite but oh man was that Ryan Reynolds movie a disaster.

Appropriate place for this.

He's right on most levels but he missed the important point that audiences have come to trust Marvel movie productions while DC movie productions are pretty much universally reviled unless Chris Nolan is associated with them. Is Nolan doing Superman v Batman?

Batman is incredibly overrated, and he shouldn't even be considered a super hero. He is merely an above average martial artist with a propensity for gadgets & trickery.

x-men paired with the avengers is enough to take on anything DC has to offer
So they've got a dozen guys together who can beat superman?
professor x could take over stupermans head and just crush him , too ez
That comment is, for lack of a better term, laughably stupid. Superman has developed psychic blocks strong enough to keep pretty much everyone out, and he's learned a Kryptonian mental martial art that enhances that and gives him the ability to fight back. Xavier isn't even the strongest telepath in his own universe. While I do like the Marvel movies, I find the characters kind of overrated. Spiderman is still an angsty teen (read: every teenager in the history of ever), the X-Men are okay, but constant infighting makes their goal impossible to reach, the Fantastic 4's movies speak for themselves, and the Punisher is just a straight up mass murderer.

That's not to say DC doesn't have issues of their own. Superman Returns and the Green Lantern for example. Man of Steel is underrated, though.
