You're talking the android Human Torch, pre-Johhny Storm, correct? :nerd:
Yep. Interestingly the original Torch started out as a "monster" and then morphed into a superhero.
Right. Additionally, Ultron used AndroidTorch's body to create the Vision.
Well actually we would eventually find out that Immortus had diverged the Torch's timeline. So he is the Vision but he also continues to survive as himself at the same time. Now that's some :nerd: right there.

Oh, whoops, I knew that too. :nerd: x1,000 Using the Forever Crystal. But actually I didn't dope out that this changed the Vision's standing origin of AndroidTorch body + Wonder Man's brain patterns.

Well it doesn't really I don't think. Although we were also told at one point that the Vision was actually built from spare parts of the original Torch and also told he was built from Adam 2 which was the followup to android Torch by his inventor. Vision's background remains murky but we know he was doing something right as he snagged the Witch. Who by the way is the one who allegedly revived the original Torch looking for answers to Vision's origins. Android Torch served with the Avengers for a while but he lost his powers and settled into a life where he was married to a human woman. He would eventually work for Namor supervising one of his companies and running a mercenary outfit.

Nice! I never knew any of the bolded. :tebow:

Yes, Vision was definitely living large to close the sale with Wanda. :moneybag: :moneybag:

True.

I read that whole "Vision was the Torch" story as a kid. It was part of the Mantis is Celestial Madonna story, right? Loved that ####. Steve Englehart!

So he's weaker than all of the Super heroes who have real powers.
Yup, except for Flash, Green Lantern, Hawkman, Atom, Firestorm, etc., etc., etc. Good catch.
Do Green Lantern and Hawkman have super powers as we'd normally define them? Unless I'm misremembering, isn't Hawkman an alien and GL just has a ring? Thought the ring was pretty strong.

Totally forgot about Atom and Firestorm.

Just watched 'Justice League : War' on Netflix, and it's amazing how good DC's animated stuff is opposed to their live action efforts.  Complete night and day experience.

I don't see how any of the Marvel heroes could beat Superman.  From reading this thread, it sounds like The Hulk is the strongest that Marvel has - but couldn't Superman just ambush Bruce Banner and quickly rip his head off?

DC absolutely kills the animated stuff,  Marvel doesn't even try to compete it seems like...  which is probably ok because the money is in the big screen stuff.

But a lot of the DC animated movies are great, and I expect Batman: killing joke to be awesome as well.

Sony did retain the right to make a spider-man animated flick, so I hope that's good.

You'd have to get pretty weird with some of marvel's heroes to beat Superman...  something like reality shifting, or cosmic level stuff..  like Franklin Richards or Silver Surfer or something

   He'd turn too fast.  lol

If Batman could beat him then it shouldn't be all that difficult to imagine.

Professor X mentally forces him to take a Kryoptonite bath.  I think the only way you defeat Superman is to go through his mind
