The Good :

Rodgers at #4 overall

Gronkowski in the 8th round (no TE required league)

A.J. Green in the 9th round

The Bad :

Drafting Hillis and Ingram at 3.4 and 4.9 to be my starting backfield. Daniel Thomas in the 7th looked promising for about 1 week. Ended up playing Kahlil Bell and Donald Brown in the most important games of my season

The So-So :

Nicks at 2.9, Dez at 5.4, Jacobs at 6.9

End result : Led the league in points, nabbed the #2 seed and first round bye, lost both playoff games, won $0.

Mixed between three 12-team leauges...went strong at QB in two of them taking Brady and Rodgers:

Good

QB: Cam Newton (Week 1 pickup), Tebow (bye filler)

RB: Fred Jackson (6th), Michael Bush (13th), CJ Spiller, Beanie

WR: Welker (4th round), Cruz (FA), AJ Green (7th)

TE: Gronkowski, Hernandez

Bad

QB: Sam Bradford

RB: Ingram, Hightower, DMac, Delone Carter

WR: Britt, Collie, Santonio Holmes

TE: Lance Kendricks

Nobody. The whole team sucked. Wait, we had the #2 kicker in Kasay. Of course kickers in that league are virtually worthless. 1/2 the teams don't even draft one and wait until after the draft to grab one...like we did.

Grabbed

Stafford

Steve Smith

Reggie Bush

Gronkowski

Good. 12-team league

Ray Rice #2 overall

Jimmy Graham #71 overall

Jordy Nelson #119 overall

Texans Def #191 overall

Laurent Robinson & Fred Davis off waivers

Bad.

Drafted Ryan Grant instead of Fred Jackson (have no idea what I was thinking at the time)

Phillip Rivers instead of Wes Welker

Non-TE required........

Got Gronkowski in the 10th round. Enjoyed him at first but then traded for Gore due to RB injuries and thinking that Hernandez was going to take over. Wait..........maybe this belongs in the other topic.

Had nothing to do with me, totally FBG. Had one WR slot i needed to fill, bid $3 out of a $100 to land Jordy Nelson.

Read the buy low columm and added Roddy White for 1.12 and 1.16 rookie picks.

When jennimgs and AP went down, Nelson and White carried me in the Championship.

There was a run on QBs early in my draft, so focused on RB/WR early. To shore up my QB position I figured I'd take McNabb as a "safe" option and follow up with Stafford and/or Bradford as a high upside play. I had a strong feeling about Stafford based on the preseason, so when the time came to take my first QB, I felt a little risky choosing Stafford over McNabb, but I did it and oh what a wonderful call that was. I also was late to the TE game and decided to go with Tony Gonzalez and that turned out to be a great pick too.

Combine me getting solid production out of highly drafted RBs and WRs and getting lucky in the QB and TE department, it lead me to the #1 record but I ended up getting bumped in the first round of the playoffs. Oh well, always next year right?

Good:

Stafford

Rice

Welker

Gronk

Fred Jackson (best pick ever for first half of the season)

Bad:

Ryan Williams

The great:

Darren Sproles in two leagues (including for $3 in a $200 auction)

A.J. Green (three leagues, including for $8 in a $200 auction)

Cam Newton (got him for $1 in the same auction league, although this was total luck)

Rob Gronkowski (two leagues, although I didn't win either league; runner up in one of 'em)

Drew Brees

Ray Rice (three leagues - had him on the two I won, and was a runner up on the third)

The good:

Aaron Hernandez (three leagues)

The bad:

Mendenhall (sonofa... killed me in the one online league I did: I did a bunch of trades to become competitive down the stretch, but it wasn't enough to overcome the terrible start I got off to)

Felix Jones (NEVER AGAIN)

In my 10 team PPR league:

1.02 Ray Rice

2.09 Calvin Johnson

3.02 Matt Forte (good while it lasted)

4.09 Vincent Jackson

6.09 Marshawn Lynch

8.09 Rob Gronkowski

Good enough to get me to the finals, but I lost to a guy with a lesser squad. Such is fantasy football.

Dead-Nuts Homeruns:

Navorro Bowman- Deduced that if broken down, old a@$ Takeo Spikes could put up numbers in that system there was nothing standing in the way of Bowman doing the same. Turns out he did better. Waaay better. Deliberately waited on my LB3 in a couple leagues and targeted Bowman late. Worked out great.

Cam Newton- No one seemed to want him in any of my dynasty rookie drafts. Wound up with him in a couple where I was picking late as a "someone has to take the guy" type pick. Expected that his ceiling was probably somewhere around "the good Culpepper"(and feared his floor was probably "the bad Vince Young"), but didn't in my wildest dreams think he'd perform as well as he did in year one.

Antoine Bethea- He's typcially always been really solid for tackles, so I felt pretty good about targeting him as my DB2/3. The Colts epically bad offense wound up giving him the motherlode of tackle opportunities and turned him in to an unbenchable stud.

Kam Chancellor- Have to give Jene/John most of the credit on this one from last season. I took Kam as one of my final DBs, if not the last one, on almost all of my IDP team this year and he wound up scoring like a DB1 for most of the year.

Jabaal Sheard- Drafted as my 4th DE. Performed as a DL1 in 11 games.

Solid Double:

DeMarco Murray- Liked the predigree, liked the situation(not a believer in Felix Jones at all so I thought he'd get his shot). Looked to be working out nicely until Tolefson fell on him.

Peyton Hillis- Avoided himg at any cost. Considering how much of a headache/useless he turned out to be most of the year, I'm counting that as a "W."

RBI Single:

Evan Royster- Picked him up off the WW in a few leagues the moment he was activated from the PS with the "It's Shanny, you just never know" angle in mind. Guy wound up saving a playoff run and helped win me a championship in one of the leagues.
