I also think that unless he loses 4 of the next 5 games, the fans will lynch Elway for it.
I agree my hairy friend. No matter how tepid his support of Tebow is, there is no way Elway can get rid of him unless the rest of the season looks like that Detroit game.Elway would never live it down and be the next one out the door after death threats and showers of boos. He'd go from hero to persona-non-grata in Denver and all of his car dealerships would be firebombed. Not to mention the treatment his replacement would get. Can you imagine?Elway is all in on Tebow whether he likes it or not. That is assuming, of course, that the Broncos win 2 or more games over the rest of the season (which I think is more likely than not). The only way Elway can get his chips out of the pot is with losses. But any move that can be perceived as unsupportive of Tebow will be met with vociferous criticism so Elway can't sabotage the team even if he wanted to.In short, Elway is in a unenviable no-win situation...unless he wins with Tebow.I don't know if I've ever seen anything like this TeBohemoth.
