I'm the commissioner of a league on ESPN and we just decided this year to go to the decimal point scoring 

my question is how to set it up

Rush&Rec - .1 for every 10 yards

Passing - .4 for every 25 yards

is this correct? 

Our old system was 1pt every 10 and 1pt every 25 yards passing

It would still be the same.  You would just get decimals for single yards.

example 1 pt for every 10 yards

10 yards = 1 point

13 yards = 1.3

This. If you want 10 yards to still be a point then you make a yard worth a tenth of a point.

Im thinking the passing would be less  So more like .04

Use standard scoring

Make a post in the League forums stating "Hey I figured we go small decimal places in a big way" and list the scoring, along with a request for comments

Yeah that looked like reinventing the wheel type stuff to me 

Hopefully OP understands that "1pt every 10 and 1pt every 25 yards passing" can actually be two different answers

1)The british pound system aka imperial units (metric system for the layman)

2) As stated so clearly above

I already told you.   This isn't rocket philosophy.

.10 per rushing and receiving yard

.04 or .05 per passing yard (depending on preference)

.04 per passing yard = 1 point for every 25 passing yards

.05 per passing yard = 1 point for every 20 passing yards

My league uses .05 per passing yard, but I think I'd prefer .04.

So .05 is a point per 20 yards. Essentially break the field up into 5 blocks of 20 (.05) or 4 blocks of 25 (.04). The .05 raises QB scores just a teeny bit to make QB's more valuable.

Yeah when I designed my scoring for my league years ago (dynasty), I honestly don't mind the .04 (I use .05), I just prefer nice neat numbers ending in 5 or 0 for the QB position.
