Deep Dynasty Stashes (1 Viewer)

loose circuits

Footballguy
This isn't the thread for people to suggest guys like ASJ or other 1st-3rd round pick types that have had injuries or are buried like Ka'dem Carey, Latimer or whoever. I'm looking for guys under the radar that will come from no where due to being buried.

A few that I am carrying and hoping for an opportunity:

Rex Burkhead- he has NFL RB versatility and has gotten more run lately for multiple reasons. Has looked good.

Quincy Enunwa- massive size and 4.4 40, but he is very raw. Had a domestic violence charge dropped recently and in a spot to succeed with a full off-season in what could be a new coaching staff.

Dion Sims- Clay is a free agent and Sims is an upgrade in the run game. He's shown he can get it done in small spurts. Could he be ticketed for a new role?

Rob Housler- athletic freak who was stuck in an offense that doesn't fit his skills. Will he sign with a new team as a free agent and have an opportunity to showcase his skills?

Who do you got?

Seantavius Jones and Duron Carter might be worth stashing, but probably only if you play in leagues with fairly deep rosters (or 32-team leagues, etc.).

did you read that thread? Paul Richardson, Wheaton, and Jonas Gray on waivers?? Wheaton, Bryce Brown, Woodhead, RG3, Jonas Gray, James White is what I am looking at. Latimer, etc... None of those guys are available in any of my leagues. Seantavious Jones is about the only one mentionedClearly not the same thing.

Is there a decent dynasty-only percent owned list somewhere? If so, link to it and set a cutoff - they can't be owned in more than, say, 15% of leagues.

I still like Robert Herron on Tampa. Tiny guy perfect for the slot job in that land of giants. He'll slip right underneath the coverage every time. He's got good speed and is a bruiser for his size. This offseason will be big for him.

Tyms sounds like a great stash but I don't see him emerging. He's different from the other receivers for sure but I think the bug target in the offense will be Gronk. Edelman and LaFell have done well too. There just isn't room for Tyms. More importantly, though, is any WR worth the BB drama?

He might not be, but the OP wanted some deep dynasty stashes, which are going to be long shots to ever produce for a fantasy team. Tyms fits this description.

Bruce Butler is not exactly under the radar but is definitely a guy I'd target in deep dynasty leagues. Probably already owned in a most deep leagues and a fair amount of shallow leagues. Still I think he warrants mentioning as even if he's not on the wire he can likely be gotten pretty cheap vis trade.

murphy contract extension makes it tougher for him though

Butler is the most explosive WR on the team. Very good size, hands & speed. A pathetic front office signed hacks like Vincent Brown and Thompkins who is at best a #2. A horrible coaching staff didn't see that. They continued to trot out Brown in front of him. It took forever for them to see that Brown was garbage. All that assisted in stunting his development. Unless they get someone with a clue, Butler will not be showing his skills.

yes. Auto-correct on cellphone changed it. I hate technology sometimes.

I like the Corey Washington mention. He put up good numbers in the pre-season and Randle has not excelled even though he has a golden opportunity. Cruz is coming back from a major injury, so it could be Washington across from OBJ next season. Another name I would add is Jaron Brown of the Arizona Cardinals.

Jarrett Boykin? If Cobb does leave Boykin can step up again. Boykin does not suck Adams is just that much better.
Boykin lost the confidence of Rodgers this year. And when Rodgers was forced to go to him he let him down. Cobb is going to stay, he is in his prime. Thompson has never let go of a successful draft pick in their prime.

Watch out for Marcus Harris, who like Cruz, had a great a preseason as a UDFA, then got stashed on IR

Dontrelle Inman.
His performance last week spoke for itself. Good hands, long frame, athletic enough. Got his release from CFL last year to make a go of it in the NFL and seems to have gotten his foot in the door for a long term role. Chargers have been carrying him as healthy scratch all year, which tells you they see something in him.

Jared abbredaris, josh huff, cj fiedorowicz, henry josey, kendall hunter
Abbrederis has to be on these lists for the potential with Rodgers alone. Adams got into the lineup quickly because Boykin fell apart, but Adams hasn't been that consistent, and Abbrederis is a terrific route runner with great hands who could easily become a favorite of Rodgers in camp next year. Don't forget Jeff Janis too - who has overwhelming tools, but it raw. Packers have been carrying him on active roster to protect him.

I've been wondering about him as well with Floyd long in the tooth and constantly dinged up. Allen seems to only run short routes. Curious how high people are on this guy.

Big fans of these two. Burkhead looks like good Hillis when he's rolling and Bengals carried him out of camp despite a knee injury that sidelined him for first month of season. Sims was #4 in Michigan Mr Basketball in high school, has good hands, stubborn after the catch. Similar sort of talent to Dwayne Allen, but not as good - still in a great offense for TE production.

I'm pretty high on him. Had Floyd on my dynasty roster this year. Just cut him for Inman. I think Floyd is still on the team in 2015 because of the comeback year he had. I think Inman has the tools to overtake him though.

Very good contributions so far.

Another one that just popped in my head:

Albert Wilson KC-- Looked like the 2nd best wr on the team and Bowe has not played up to his contract. Even if they add 1 add 2 WRs to compete, Wilson could take that next step.

Tommy Streeter in Jax? If memory serves, Had good reports in Tampa's camp and they cut him. I was hoping he would get some run at end of year. 6-5 4.4 guy...been on these lists a few times

No mention of Josh Harris?

After Saturday he'll be known.

Won't be ahead of bell of course but backup backs are a commodity.

Anyone care to speculate on Housler?
I added him early in offseason since he's a FA. I've always thought he could be a good pass-catching option, and Arians doesn't use the TE. So if he gets a contract from a team needing a starter, he could hit big-time. If he doesn't, then you just cut him.

As a Bell owner, I spent half my free agent blind bid money on him after Blount was released
I added him as well but pretty sure he'll be one of the first drops when I make roster cuts. Didn't see anything when he had the opportunity to make me think he'll be the #2 guy next year.

are you still stashing? I have given up, but admittedly it could be premature if he can stick as Deangelo won't be around forever

we don't have a roster limit in the off season, so yes but not expecting anything.

He's been having a good training camp and some beat writers see him surpassing Jeremy Kerley for the WR3 role - at least while Devin Smith is out - for what that's worth. This likely won't be a passing offense that supports three fantasy WRs but Marshall isn't necessarily locked in long term at his age and with his volatile past.

some good stuff in this old thread-

Hearing good stuff about Wilson, Fuller, Burkhead

Anybody have any more from camps (& games) now?
would like to see the good stuff on Burkhead if you care to share.

:coffee:
Burkhead was knocked out of Cinci's preseason matchup with a neck injury, but was back at practice Monday. Burkhead lined up as a slot receiver with the starting unit, and that is where his value lies. He is well down the depth chart at RB, but his versatility gives him some value. CBS Sports' Pete Prisco tweeted last week, "Rex Burkhead will play a big role in the Bengals offense. Can really help in the slot. Tough cover when matched vs. LB."

Still, with Green, Eifert, Sanu, Jones(?), Bernard and Hill all contending for receptions, you have to think Burkhead will have limited fantasy value. As a deep stash though, you could certainly do worse.
