Does a defender get credit for a tackle if the offensive player ends up in the endzone for a TD?

I guess an example would be if a ball carrier is hit at the one and brought down but manages to reach the ball over the goal line for the TD.

Would the NFL credit the defender with a tackle?

A play cannot end with a tackle and a touchdown. There are no tackles on plays that result in touchdowns.
