Whats the buzz on this guy? I know he didn't really demonstrate massive pop last year, but this year is really awful. Is he worth rostering even in large leagues?

His lack of power is killing me. He was part of a package I received for Vladi and I'm expecting 18-22 hr's from him. So far it looks like I was hoping for too much too soon. At least Vlad is being average right now, but we need alot more from Delmon than what he's giving. I wouldn't bother with him unless it's a keeper league, right now he's a dime-a-dozen OF.

He hasn't hit 18 homers in 2006, 2007, and this season combined. He swings at anything in the 602 area code and pitchers know they don't have to throw him a strike to get him out. Until he makes them throw good pitches, he won't see good pitches.

Remember all the "Rays are cheap and are jerking around Delmon's career" yakking when he was still producing mediocre numbers in Durham?

Yea, maybe he needed a bit more time there. He's completely off-balance at the plate now and it's not going to get better soon. Probably should have had another 300-400 ABs in AAA.

Oh well, thankfully he's Minnesota's problem now.
