Democratic Debates (1 Viewer)

I love how nobody is bringing up the whole premise that the wealth tax they are discussing has more than just a minor constitutional hurdle to clear.

In some ways this is good for Bernie to take that shot now.  In a general election that's a knock out punch.  Here it's just a good stiff shot.
He should have said what I have heard the story to be, it was left to his wife by her parents.  If thats not true, a summer house, well that not realistic when you're pushing this socialist jive.  He is in the 1 percent.

He's also 78 years old. My 60 something parents have two houses and they're middle class at best. Compound interest and a steady (higher than average) income are neat.

I have no problem with wealth or prosperity.  Neither does Bernie when its his own apparently.  He should have sold the stupid 3rd house when he knew he was running, its a terrible look. The two houses are realistically justified but how man Americans own multiple properties.

Guys, I don't know if the people on the stage were paying attention during Impeachment, but going after Mitch McConell is a losing game.

Trump is going to get re-elected.  We may get some entertainment in the meantime though.

Mayor Pete may be the best hope of everyone on that stage but being gay is going to be major baggage in the general.

Sanders is going to get the nom anyway and his ticket is a loser vs Trump

Sure.

Bernie's net worth according to Google is 2.5 million.  He could give away his money and extra houses.  He could live like someone that makes 60K.  But he likes it a little better.  So where do we draw the line?  You can have millions but not billions?  Is it 10's of millioins?  Somewhere above what he makes, I'm sure.

Unfortunately he has a cult following that is going to give Trump another 4 years.

There is such an enormous difference between a million and a billion...completely disingenuous by Bloomberg.

Might as well get rid of all taxes.
