Democratic Debates (2 Viewers)

Sure.

Bernie's net worth according to Google is 2.5 million.  He could give away his money and extra houses.  He could live like someone that makes 60K.  But he likes it a little better.  So where do we draw the line?  You can have millions but not billions?  Is it 10's of millioins?  Somewhere above what he makes, I'm sure.
I doubt you'll find many Sanders fans that think millionaires shouldn't exist. Hell, his many Silicon Valley worker donors basically need to be a millionaire to ever think of buying a house.

Pete did the old pro wrestling, fake handshake move to Bernie. Extend the hand then pull it back at the last minute and kick the guy right in the nuts.

Not to someone who doesn't know where the money to keep the lights on is going to come from.
You're still never going to convince those people that Bernie is some secret crony capitalist or something. It's a dumb thing to challenge him on.

There is such an enormous difference between a million and a billion...completely disingenuous by Bloomberg.
The average salary in America is 56K, thats a pretty big divide to the millionaire class.  Which look, I don't begrudge anyone for making money, its what makes this country great.  We talk often about wealth inequality, we are in the top 10 percent of the globe, I wonder if these people making 30K who are in top 5 percent globally are willing to share the pie.

Bernie has made this an issue, and look, he's running for president, rent the damn lake house.  A 600k summer "camp" is an atrocious optic

Pete has been going hard after Amy all night. Not sure that was the right lane to hit. Take the easy road and whale on Bloomberg.

A problem I have with multi-billionaires is the timing and luck involved, and how many of their companies would have precluded them from success had they not come along first. This doesn’t negate the work and intelligence involved, but it should also mitigate how much gets consolidated versus re-sewn.
Reducing barriers to entry (end corporate welfare; attack monopolism where it legitimately exists, and drastically reduce taxes for start-ups/entrepreneurship) would greatly even the playing field. Without socialism.

Don’t think being gay would sink him. Almost everyone who would make that a defining issues is already solidly voting Trump.
Maybe.

But I always think back to Chick Fil A.  After the internet planned to boycott them, the Christian base showed up to eat the Lord's chicken in droves.

I'm pro gay rights.  It behooves me that we spend so much time trying to deny rights that affect us in no way.  But I have little doubt the Christian right will show up in droves to prevent a gay president.
