Denver LBs... (1 Viewer)

I'd most definitely not target dj -- the commish already is.

his outlook is very sketchy with the suspension.

mays is out in nickel, and woodyard should be in

woodyard for tackles, and von miller for big plays

Is D.J. suspended for the first 6 weeks?
yes, and I wouldn't be surprised if he never played another down for the Broncos. He has had zero game reps and I think zero practice reps with the team. They don't have to pay him while he suspended and he won't take up a roster space so the Broncos aren't inclined to cut him during the preseason.Tackle heavy I'd go with Woodyard. Leagues that award big points for sacks I'd go Miller. But keep an eye on Mays. Talk out of camp is he has really improved in coverage. He was all over the field making tackles and pressuring Alex Smith last weekend. If he can work his way into playing 3 downs he could put up low end LB2 numbers for cheap, imo.Miller=Sam (plays DE in a lot of nickle & dime packages)...3 down playerMays=Mike...I think he's a 2 down player to begin the seasonWoodyard=Will...3 down LB & proficient special teamer

I've been trying to find if he has been able to practice with the team. makes big difference in his return(if he returns)

The Broncos play variations of a 3-3-5 subpackage. Miller is a roving pass rusher. Woodyard and Mays play behind the line as nickel backers.

Williams has missed time with injury and legal issues but has been practicing with the team in camp. He will not be allowed to practice, train or attend meeting while suspended.

if this is the case then I like Mays as a sleeper option. IIRC, he was off the field quite a bit in nickle and dime packages last year (I seem to remember Woodyard and Williams playing as nickle backers last year). If he's playing 3 downs and his game has improved (as has been the rumor) I think he could be a decent late round/FA option in deeper leagues

I took Mays real late in one league after Rivers, Demario Davis and Foote.

Top 4 in my league yesterday1. 10. Nicholas, Stephen ATL LB 29.12 2. 15. Woodyard, Wesley DEN LB 27.00 3. 25. Lenon, Paris ARI LB 25.00 25.000 4. 29. Bowman, Navorro SFO LB 24.44 5. 33. Greenway, Chad MIN LB 24.00 AJ Hawk was too but I don't expect that to last.

pay attention to the keith brooking injury as he was replacing woodyard at times early on sure rushing downs.
:goodposting: DJ Williams is currently serving a 6 game suspension, and Goodell hasn't event thought about ruling on DJ's second DWI that happened this summer, which could easily lead to another 4 games.DJ Williams comes back in a few weeks too, he could just be a (great) early season option,.
