Denver v. New England (1 Viewer)

Dang it, Tatum: Always gets tripped up. Still a nice run.
Yeah, but if he can start getting 18-20 carries a game instead of 14-16, those 10, 15, and 20 yarders are going to add up.
Oh, trust me, I hear ya. I have Tatum in my lineup. He looks fairly strong, although he's dropped both passes that Jake has thrown his way.
He did have a nice 11 yard reception early. So far, so good: 46 all purpose yards in the 1st quarter.

Ugh. Mike bell no longer RBBC? This is not good. I need 10 pts between MBell and Crumpler...
If MBell keeps running like that, RBBC is still a safe bet...
:no:It is clearly working out to MBell giving Tatum enough breathers to keep TBell under 18 carries or so, but it is Tatum Bell in ther eon all the "important" runs in the first couple of games. Not seeing this moving to TBell as the feature and MBell as, at best, a vulture and, at worst, a guy to give TBell a breather, is not seeing what is happening on the field.I've watched every second of every Bronco game this preseason and season (not a homer - just like to watch the Broncos with my homer friend). And, to my eyes, Shanhan has a clear preference for TBell.

I wonder if they will play Gabriel this year?? But then he was only worth a bottom of the 5th round draft choice.

He got 4 yards.
Did you see the run? He carried defenders for all 4 and the refs had to call the play dead because 5 NE defenders couldn't tackle him...
It was a solid run.
Agreed - MBell is solid and tough. And devote4d to extra yardage. That doesn't change my thoughts above. To my eyes, MBell is a guy you want on the team, but TBell is the one they'll be feeding the ball to. Just like Madden (surprisingly astutely) said - you gotta have two guys, but you want a decent amount of separation between one and two - TBell is distancing himself from MBell.

For all the hype about Watson and using TEs in the offense, Watson has been very quiet.
I agree. For a TE that was supposed to challenge as one of the top TE fantasy plays he has had a very quiet start to the season.
He is the most targetted player on the Pats going into this game
Watson's lack of production is, I would say, a direct result of the llack of production of the Patriot's passing game as a whole. As was stated by another poster, Watson has been the most targeted receiver on the offense.

I remain unconvinced that was roughing the passer.
Anytime a Dplayer hits the QB's head after the ball is gone, it is an automatic flag. That was one was without question roughing.
Yeah, doesn't have to be "rough" to be "roughing". Especially this year, seem to be calling anything CLOSE.
Yeah - not a late hit or anything, but roughing = not pulling up from hitting the QB after the ball is gone. :shrug:And if you hit him in the head, fahgedaboudit.

P.S. - they've been talking about this new roughing rule the ENTIRE preseason and the first two games - you shouldn't have been surprised by the flag there unless you've been in an NFL hole until this past week.
