Derek Anderson Projections Weeks 14-17 are off the chart low (1 Viewer)

Looking at Lineup Dominator I'm seeing Derek Anderson projected out for his typical mid 20 point weeks until weeks 14-17 where it drops down to single digits. Brady Quinn is also projected at single digits for these weeks @ NYJ, vs BUF, @ CIN and vs SF. None of these passing defenses are considered COLD difficult defenses.

So apparently projected points are being deducted based upon the possibility of Derek Anderon being benched for Brady Quinn in the late weeks of the season which I think is a mistake. I don't see a team in the middle of playoff contention benching a QB that has played outstanding just so they can take a look at their #1 draft choice. Derek Anderson has earned his starting job for the rest of the season and projections and rankings should reflect this IMO.

Is there some justification for this that I'm missing?

I don't see it.

If the Browns are in the playoff hunt

because of Anderson's play, the last thing

they will do is bench him for Quinn.

I see Anderson going to either Minnesota

or Baltimore next season, which is when Quinn

will take the reigns for Cleveland, imo.

The Browns gave up so much to get Brady Quinn that it makes the QB situation tough to predict. Normally Anderson would be a lock to start the rest of the season based on his play, but with the investment in Quinn being so extreme there could be a push by the front office to get Quinn some field time. It would be a huge mistake in my mind, Anderson is playing amazingly well, it's not a fluke.

Something tells me that as long as Anderson is playing well, he will be the starter this season so that he will have a higher trade value for next season.

The Bengals had a big investment in Palmer too, but he sat the whole year behind Kitna, who had a good season in his final year as a starter for the Bengals.

great analogy with Kitna/Palmer.Call me a conservative thinker but the lower risk strategy for CLE next season would be to ride Anderson and go with the bird in the hand and find another taker for Quinn who they can probably get more value out of in a trade. Anderson is ready to go right now so I'd use him. Teams are always trying to pull this off without success including Brees/Rivers, Thomas Jones/Cedrick Benson, etc... and sometimes the grass is as green as it's going to get.

How can any team bench a Pro Bowl quarterback? The three QB's from the AFC will probably be Brady, Manning, and Roethlisberger, and if any of them can't play due to injury, next in line would be Anderson. Personally, I think Anderson is a better Pro Bowl choice than Manning, but there's zero chance of that happening.

Anyone fathom that the Lineup Dominator is just wrong in it's assessment? Looks like it to me.
Yep and add Top 250 Forward to that list as well in terms of projections of DA that are off.I figure that a 10 point bump per game over the existing projections times 4 games would bump DA up to his season average so add 40 points to his total and he's the top QB over the remainder of the season.
