Deshaun without Steve Smith in the lineup (1 Viewer)

Nothing personal, FBGs, but after Deshaun's performance last week without Steve Smith in the lineup, what makes anyone think he won't just get box-stacked again? Ranking him that high doesn't make any sense to me. I'm benching him  .

Couldnt care less about SS being out.

However, Wharton and Hartwig being out is a legit reason to bench him. Hes running out of blockers.

As mentioned, the line situation worries me even more than the S Smith absence, but the latter still means a lot imo.

Yesterday I decided I would go with A Green over Foster this week and was a bit curious to see Foster ranked as highly as he was in the FBG's projections this week.

Go with your gut feelings guys. If you don't think Foster is going to have a good day, replace him with another RB. The FBG's projections are just an opinion and are not always 100% right. For the most part though, they do a pretty good job with their rankings and cheatsheets. I'm sure they have their reasons for having Foster so high?

You guys do have a reason for having Foster so high right FBG's?? :D

I dont pick my players by rankings, but he was considerably higher than I would have guessed. Facing a good defense, with a shuffled line and a VERY ordinary looking Delhomme without Steve Smith, I wouldnt think that Foster would be expected to have such a good week. This isnt calling out FBGs, just found it curious how high they had him.

I'm calling them out, baby. If someone from FBGs can provide insight, I'd love to hear it. :football:

Ahh.. this could get good. Gentlemen, business is about to pick up!!

I actually think DeShaun is in for a very good game this week.
Reasons?
Gut feeling...Carolina at Minnesota -First, I don't feel Minnesota's defense is as good against the run as it appeared in week 1. Portis was injured, and Betts IMO is not that good. They were middle of the road against the run last season, and I don't think they've drastically improved.Second, I don't think the Panthers offense is as bad as it looked last week. And even then Foster was running rather well. His end of game stats were far worse than his actual game looked. So I expect improvement. I also think if Colbert is in there more this week, things will go better. Carter has terrible hands. And it seemed Carolina went away from the running game last week, not because Foster wasn't running well, but because they were behind. I think he gets the rock 22 times this week, and that he breaks one of those carries long.Still, mostly, gut feeling...

They have Gates down as the #1 TE with 5 catches.....5!!!! He won't even get 5 targets. The weekly rankings are a joke. Just ignore them.

They were down the whole came and Atlanta was stacking the line against carolina in the early parts of the game. Rbs do not do well in those types of situations. If carolina d can show up, foster is going to be fine. Footbalguys always ranks guys high who have a lot of opportunity. Foster plays all three downs, got 95% of the carries, and will get gl carries as well. There are not that many back in the nfl today that gets that many looks. As long as the panther don't get down by 14+, foster should have a good day. Minny offense is really not that good so the game should be close. Foster should be productive despite the offensive line injuries and being sans Smith.
