**Detroit at Carolina** (+2.5, 43.5) (1 Viewer)

Panthers play tough,Goff not as productive on the road. Lions D has been playing well. I don't see a ton of points in this one but a close game...

Detroit- 23
Carolina- 20

per radio broadcast Carolina just running simple counter plays & Detroit overrunning everything

6-104 before they finally got a stop

Lions could use that Georgia DT right now.

early in the year it was the same issue - bootlegs & counter gap plays we would be out of position & give up big gainers left & right

hopefully AG makes some adjustments

Lions actually had the #1 run defense over the last 3 weeks (167 yards in 3 g)

160+ yds rushing allowed by the Detroit Lions
Now Sam Darnold is running all over them

WTH is going on? Lions seem to be in a let down mode on Defense
Where is my Beast, Hutchinson at?

Wow. I benched Foreman because of the stout Detroit run D. I almost switched to Foreman when I saw the rush DVOA of Det was 19th in the league. I didn't. Man, am I kicking myself.

Paper Lions so far

Dan Campbell almost got what he wanted on that Punt, thought the Panther was going to fumble when he went late to stop the ball at the 10 yd line
Under 1:00 left

Detroit needs to regroup and storm the building in the 2nd half

Panthers have 240 rush yards in the first half. 2 RBs have over 100.

NFL record is 423 by the Giants vs Baltimore in 1950, and in the SB era the Bengals had 407 in 2000 vs Denver.

Carolina trying to run the clock out but Chubba runs for 33 so they had to start calling timeouts & throwing the ball

Hubbard 6-109
Foreman 10-104-1
Blackshear 2-6-1
Darnold 4-21-1

Lions got a stop on 2nd & 20 but illegal contact automatic FD

FG 24-7

DJ Moore saw his first target (sort of) on the last play of the half

Dan Miller has been calling games since 2005 so that would include 0-16 & the darkness of the Quinntricia era

“I’ve never seen the Lions get run on like that. They’re getting pushed all over the field.”
