As a KJ owner, I agree wholeheartedly.I'm liking the use of Jones in this game.
Surprisingly, he's 9/19.My God, Kitna's percentage must be horrible. I think I've read the word "incomplete" 50 times already.

So what happen with Roy... Did he have alot of drops.. Wasn't getting open, or was Kitna off target...Fargas looks good as the #2 rb for oakland.
Would be nice to get this from him each game for sure......lions DB must be on lunch break lolMoss is back.
During the broadcast they said Tui was in the game tonight because Walter will be playing most of the agme next week.#8 Marques Tuiasosopo in at QB for the Raiders.Where's Walter?
Thanks todd for spending the time to write this for the rest of usHey everyone,I was at the game live tonight... my first Raider game ever. Luckily, I survived. You think I'm kidding. It's not a good thing to go into Raider Nation and root for Dan Orlovsky because he's on your fantasy team under contract for the next 3 years at a cheap price. Luckily, the drunk raider fans (big surprise there...) were so perplexed that someone was rooting for Orlovsky that they didn't fully castrate me. Anyway, some notes...Moss, if he wants to be, is unstoppable. Throw it near/to him and he'll probably take it in for the TD. It's a different vibe live... he really has no peer at WR right now. Man among boys. etc.LJordan ran well and had a nice TD to the right side, about 15 yards out. The line was nice tonight, although they were helped by A. Brooks' mobility. He escaped about 4-5 sacks with ease, usually completing the pass or running for a few yards. I think Fargas was just as impressive as LJordan. If LJordan were to get hurt, I actually think the Raiders would be ok. Mind you, it's one game and it's the Lions' Defense.C. Anderson dropped an easy catch or two. Plodding. That's the best way to describe his route running. Porter was booed out of the stadium after his catch. Actually, when the fans saw the catch, they "cheered" and when the announcer said the name "porter", everyone started booing. It was ugly.Tuiey, I didn't see enough of. SJ (kicker-raiders) boomed the ball on some kickoffs but had a squib (unintentional, I think) on his 1st one. Ugly. For Detroit (and remember this is a Dan Orlovsky fan talking), Kitna was god awful. I don't think the line helped him out much, especially from the right side. He was continuously pressured the entire evening and he's lucky that he didn't end up with 4-5 interceptions. No joke. The raiders bobbled a few, batted a few away, and just couldn't end up with the INT a few times. Kitna just didn't have it today. One thing he did well was on 3rd down... He always seemed to have enough time and get the ball off with some yards, usually enough for a conversation. This might be the famous Raider Prevent Defense more than the skills of Kitna. On the other hand, Orlovsky looked GREAT! Ok, not great... but "ok". He had a beatiful bomb to Ernie that should have gone for a score (led to FG). The O had a few communication problems with DanO at the helm. You could tell that they weren't that comfortable with him leading the team, although back-ups were in the game at this point, I believe.Kevin Jones... Wow. Draw plays were money for the Lions. Raiders did well with them too. Kevin Jones looked like a stud tonight. I'm going to try and trade for him tomorrow. I know this sounds silly, but the way he was utilized reminded me of Marshall Faulk back in the day. To be honest, I felt that Kevin Jones rised to the occasion and played well. He made GREAT cuts and never seemed to go down. Very impressive running all night long. Definitely worth a look. I actually think that Kevin Jones on a "better" team with a focus on the running game could be a top 6-7 pick (not round, but pick) in most fantasy football drafts. He played that well.None of the Detroit WRs did anything. They looked to be running through the motions during the game. Maybe it's the new offense... maybe it's the great Raider D (probably not...) Maybe it's something else entirely... But aside from a nice catch or three, it was a pretty ugly game for the Detroit passing game.I left early in the 4th quarter, mostly because the vision of exiting the Raider parking lot with tons of drunk, angry, semi-######ed Raider fans did not appeal to me. Go figure. And you think I'm kidding about the Raider fans. It was ugly. I usually attend games at SBC Park (SF Giants) or maybe a few Stanford football game. This was an entirely different crowd. People yelling, swearing, fighting, drinking, groping, and more. I can't believe people brought their kids to this game. I'd never attend a Raider game with kids. And don't get me started on that pathetic stadium. Anyway, for what it's worth...
So where are all those people who were casting off Oak after the 1st 2 PRESEASON games? Funny how a few weeks of cohesion can make a difference.
F'n figures. I was targetting him big time for my draft tomorrow morning.Bomb to Moss. He will now go a few picks higher for this weekend's drafts.

I'd like to know if the Oak Oline has started to gel or if the Det Dline just flat sucked?and if i didn't cover something that you'd like to know from a first hand account, just ask (or PM).T![]()
From what was being said after the first two games, one would wonder if the Raiders could've handled a local Pop Warner pass rush. Watching the game at noon, will let you know, but consensus on Raider boards, is that there's some cohesiveness, which was missing from the first two games. The rook RG, in particular, McQuistan, has looked like a different kid, really stepping his game up.I'd like to know if the Oak Oline has started to gel or if the Det Dline just flat sucked?and if i didn't cover something that you'd like to know from a first hand account, just ask (or PM).T![]()
I think it's a little of both, but a team can look great playing against a bad Dline. I don't think that the Raiders OL did that great of job, but they did a "good enough" job to give Brooks enough time to hit his WRs. The Lions secondary was horrible. They looked soft, they played soft, they just gave so much cushion to the Raider WRs that Brooks -always- had an open man. For the running game, a lot of the carries for Jordan came on draw plays (ditto for KJ) which sort of doesn't really highlight the traditional run-blocking of an OL. Not sure if that answers your question or not.I'd like to know if the Oak Oline has started to gel or if the Det Dline just flat sucked?and if i didn't cover something that you'd like to know from a first hand account, just ask (or PM).T![]()

There's a lot of ####### over-reacting going on in this thread.Randy Moss is what I call an "f-word" player. By that I mean you don't want to overthink his situation too much. He's Randy ####### Moss. He's so talented that you want to not worry much and just get the guy on your team.I also feel the same way to a lesser extent about Reggie ####### Bush.
I dissagree. The overreaction came a year ago when everyone mistaked an injured Moss for a far less talented Moss who had lost the majority of his ability. People are just remembering how good Moss is. They never should have forgoten. The guy is still only 29 yrs old. As I've said for over a year. If he stays healthy, he is still dominant. There's a lot of ####### over-reacting going on in this thread.Randy Moss is what I call an "f-word" player. Last night's game didn't change my opinion of Moss at all. I had him as my #1 WR all along. There's a lot of ####### over-reacting going on in this thread.Randy Moss is what I call an "f-word" player. who the flip are you talking about? English please. No action for BMW. It appears that the genius Martz has the offense in top shape so there is no need for BMW to play.
I thought Jordan looked good-not-great. He did have good power/drive after first contact, and the TD was a really nice run. And yes the OL, as well as Brooks, were night-and-day better than previous 2 games. Granted it's DET but they don't have the worst D in the league.LJordan ran well and had a nice TD to the right side, about 15 yards out. The line was nice tonight, although they were helped by A. Brooks' mobility. He escaped about 4-5 sacks with ease, usually completing the pass or running for a few yards.
I think you're severely deluded. Fargas had 1 or 2 pretty nice runs when the OL gave him a hole big enough to drive a truck though but he has never been more than a few-plays-a-game changeup RB and never will be.I think Fargas was just as impressive as LJordan. If LJordan were to get hurt, I actually think the Raiders would be ok.
Not the whole time he wasn't. Actually I thought it was classic Kitna ie good at times, bad at times, very mediocre/up n down overall. DET fans best prepare for more frustration at QB this year (esp when the coach puts McCown in out of desperation and he sucks worse than Kitna). For Detroit (and remember this is a Dan Orlovsky fan talking), Kitna was god awful.
Yeah they weren't very good, and seemed to get worse as the game went on (granted might have been some backups subbed in, don't know).I don't think the line helped him out much, especially from the right side.
:X Either you were high when you wrote this or you're his mother. Honestly, you can't be serious. He looked very OK and mostly just took what the D gave him. He made no great moves, broke few if any tackles, and showed only an average burst/speed. I really don't get it; this guy has been overrated since college, despite reasons to do so.....when will people learn?Kevin Jones... Wow. Draw plays were money for the Lions. Raiders did well with them too. Kevin Jones looked like a stud tonight. I'm going to try and trade for him tomorrow. Generally true. I think OAK should get a lot of credit, although Kitna's "erraticness" didn't help.None of the Detroit WRs did anything. They looked to be running through the motions during the game. Maybe it's the new offense... maybe it's the great Raider D (probably not...) Maybe it's something else entirely... 41st player off the board in the Cake draft (in progress). Pretty excited to have Holt, Randy, Gates as my WR.14 yards by KJ
