Deuce McAlister owners (Dynasty leagues) (1 Viewer)

comfortably numb

Footballguy
I have Deuce along with several other RB's that are not the clear cut starter on their team.

I have tried to send Deuce to the Bush owner, to no avail.

What trades have you seen go down involving Deuce?

I am not sure NO will hold onto both RB's next year, and if he leaves he could fit very well somewhere else as he is still pretty young.

I don't mind holding onto him.

What are your thoughts?

Deuce, after his 2 TD day, could be a sell-high candidate if it nets you an upgrade. e.g. in a dynasty I'm considering sending Deuce & Marion Barber to the (worried) JJones owner in exchange for Portis. I just think Portis has more upside over next couple years than Deuce. That said, I think Deuce looks very comfortable/productive in his current role (20ish carries, goal line work, more rest thanks to Bush, etc.) and, yes, should he get traded, would make a fine RB2 moving forward. If he stays in NO, he can only decline, in my opinion, as Bush will only gain more and more control of that offense as he gets more experienced and (maybe) adds a few pounds of muscle to help him stand the wear and tear of the NFL.

I have tried offering him for RMoss to the Bush owner. He declined after think hard about it.

I have Deuce and Bush in my dynasty leage (non ppr), and I'm standing pat. I don't see how I could get very good value for him. If one goes down, the other obviously becomes startable every week. It's a tricky situation. Deuce has really looked strong so far...better than last year when he was healthy, maybe. I think the attention Bush draws, and the rest he provides, is opening lanes for Deuce and making life easier on him. It seems pretty clear Deuce is the touchdown back.

I think I'm starting him this week over Bush, and might continue to do so when the match-up is decent.

From the day the Texans passed on Reggie Bush and he fell into the Saints lap Deuce can be added on the cheap. He's in a great situation where he can get back to form this year while sharing the load and come back next year 2 years removed from the ACL injury. Deuce will put up RB3 numbers this year with much, much better numbers possible in 07'.

Before the season I added Deuce McAllister and a high 2nd round pick for Terrell Owens. Running backs are so difficult to come by in dynasty leagues and when you can add one with McAllister's upside I think it's worth the risk. Buy.

Believe it or not I traded Deuce and Travis Taylor for Frank Gore and Vernon Davis a day before the Thursday night opener. And I did not make the offer. This is a dynasty league too.

Deuce is a good back, but his days of being elite are over and I can't depend on him to stay healthy. Where as Gore is also a risk in the injury department ,and I was one who was very nervous about him, I could not ignore how good he was in pre-season. Even though it was preseason he looked like a beast. So far so good.

As a person advocating acquiring Deuce even I would have shopped him away for that, nice trade. Deuce's upside next season is mitigated by the possibility that he stays in New Orleans. The upside of Gore + Davis is much greater than Deuce in your deal moving forward.

I own Deuce in my dynasty league and offerd the Bush owner my Deuce for his Benson (i own TJ). The offer was rejected

I didn't expect Deuce to come back so quickly from his injury, and he has provided my team with depth at RB. I would be looking for a solid #2 WR in return for him, or will stay put and hope he gets traded next offseason.

Yesterday I traded Deuce $26 and Coles$1 for Jordan$1 and Moulds$10 in a $220 salary cap IDP dynasty league. The guy needed WR help more than RB's, and he made me the offer. Now I have Chester Taylor $19, Jordan $1, TJ$20 and Benson$26 as my dynasty RB's. I feel I made a perfect sell high (Coles) for buy low (Jordan) trade.
